We had a really lovely stay at the Marriott Hotel Holyrood. From check‑in to checkout, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel at home. The room was a great size, the shower was fantastic, and the room was clean and fresh. It was quiet at night giving a peaceful sleep. The gentleman at the reception when we arrived was proffessional and helpful. The only thing i wished was that there was more seating areas to relax in near the bar and restaurant. A lovely hotel, and the booking in was quick on the arrival xx

Very comfortable, perfect for a few days stay, good food and helpful staff. Air con worked well and good facilities, shower and toiletries all good except fan not working in bathroom. Plenty of tea, coffee water etc.

Really good hotel, in a great location but I would advise the parking is £25 a stay and only have 10 spaces. There is plenty of parking across the road.

Room very comfortable and clean. Bed and pillows great and coffee replenished and plentiful. Only thing I would say is it is not clear if fridge in room is working. It appeared to be cold one day but not next. Food and service at bar were both lovely.

Through no fault of their own the staff couldn’t cope. Very disappointing breakfast experience. Staff had called in sick leaving colleagues run off their feet with queues waiting to enter restaurant. Possibly the worst service I’ve ever experienced having used the services of many hotels over many years. Room was in need of a refresh but was comfortable. Price was extortionate but understandable at this time of year when prices are always inflated due to Christmas in edinburgh
