Inverlochy Castle

The room was spotless, the bathroom Was immaculate.

Wonderful experience during our three day stay. Staff was extremely personable and helpful. We loved our room. There were some cobwebs in our windows but overall very clean and well maintained. My only suggestions are that they lower the temperature in the dining room (especially if you're working through a five course menu and a bottle of wine in a suit jacket); revamp the reception area (looks a tad bit like a gift shop and not the entrance to a grand house); and have (suitable)background music in the lounge areas/ dining room when pianist isn't present. (Everyone seemed to be talking in self-conscious whispers at breakfast and while sitting in common areas because it was so quiet.)

A little run down, dinner was overpriced and not great for what they promoted.

I was disappointed with the overall stay here. The atmosphere with stuffy and pretentious, and at times, we felt unwelcome and as though we didn't fit in. There was a particular staff member (I won't name him) that basically scolded me for a discrepancy on a taxi request. The facility itself was phenomenal. The food overpriced, and not worth it (45 pounds per person at Factors Inn for what was basically a few bits of salmon). The breakfast (included), great–no complaints there. The room we had, which was nearly $900 a night, had a fly problem that stemmed from within the room (not midges, which are well known there–these were house flies). We were dismissed when bringing this to their attention, and told that it was because the doors were left open (they weren't). The issue was never resolved. The towels seemed like they were not changed daily, though I won't get into detail on how we discovered this. We will not stay here again because of the pretentious and unwelcoming environment buy some (not all) staff members, but the facility itself was beautiful.

Very nice rooms and service was phenominal. It was warm westher wise and the heat was in in the comnon rooms and hallways. So it was very warm inside the castle and in our rooms, that was really my biggest complaint.

High tea was disappointing. Food was not wonderful We asked for water never got it. It was a good stay but for the money I expected superior everything and that didn’t happen. Too much hype for a good not great return.

Beautiful property. Staff was excellent. Views were outstanding. The dinner was quality. The entire experience was five-star. Highly recommend.

This short visit to Inverlochy Castle was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed every detail of the place. The decor, staff and service, food-everything was reflective of a rich heritage of the place and impeccable. Our room overlooked the peaceful gardens, giving an unobstructed views of Ben Nevis, offering a rare stillness that allowed us to truly pause.

Spectacular stay. The castle is such a unique experience as a hotel and we loved every minute. The property is beautiful and the service was five star. The only negative was a giant beehive outside our room which prevented us from opening the window. A couple bees also made it inside our room but we were able to “guide” them back out with a small towel. Fortunately neither of us are allergic but my wife was not happy. However this didn’t ruin our stay and we would absolutely return and recommend to anyone. Definitely pricey but we found it worth it.

This was the best castle option we stayed in ! It was beautiful & quiet for nice walks around the property ;) we had to go to the inn fine the road to eat bc we didn’t want the fine dining option after a day of travel and wished they had a golf cart transport as it was a bit far when we walked for us older ladies :/ but the factor inn food was very good :) the staff at the castle were very helpful and delightful ; it was nice to have someone to carry our bags up the stairs !the breakfast was also exquisite!! Best if the trip !

While I can understand other comments about the state of the property, and it could use cleaning and updates in some areas, it really was a great place to stay. The staff were attentive, kind and went out of their way. We stayed in a walled garden room. It was beautiful and the bathroom was huge. All of the food we had was wonderful. Would love to stay again.

Fish and chips were excellent, great quality and the breading is not overbearing.
