However, apart from that, everything about the hotel is excellent. The food in the restaurant and the breakfast is exceptional, and the staff top it off. The bar has an amazing choice of drinks also.

We had a wonderful stay at the George. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar is charming and welcoming. We were in a room in the First House which was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the bath in the room added to the charm. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of cooked options. Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely family run hotel, serving wonderful breakfast and excellent meals throughout the day. The rooms are luxurious and the staff very attentive.

everything about the food staff room etc was very good the only complaint I had was that the live music started very late (around 21 45) which is fine if you are a local and start your evening late but not so much if you have been travelling are older and don't stay up till the wee hours !

We had a wonderful stay in the spacious and elegant Merchant’s Suite, which had a wood stove and a jetted tub. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed all the breakfast options and we had dinner multiple nights in the pub- delicious.
