We loved the Tigerlily. One of our favorites places to stay during our vacation. Staff was very friendly and helpful. After a long flight and early arrival, they not only held our luggage but placed it in our room. Thank you so much for the easy check in. Breakfast was great. One day we had to leave early and they provided us with some goodies since we could not enjoy the normal full breakfast. Great location for exploring the city! We felt safe and very comfortable. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. Good size bathroom and comfortable bed. We would stay here again.

A really lovely hotel in the new town. The room was clean, really big with tea/coffee, nice toiletries and GHD hairdryer/straighteners.
The staff were lovely and helpful.
The food/bar were reasonably priced and breakfast was lovely.
There is a nightclub in the basement, as we were on the 3rd floor this did not disturb us too much but I suspect if you are on the 1st floor this may be noisy.

Tigerlilly is an excellent hotel to stay in when in Edinburgh. I had an issue with my bill before arriving, and I received a phone call about it before our arrival. They had the wrong arrival date for us. Because we were coming in from the States, they asked us to book a night before. They charged us for an additional night. After I spoke to the woman at the desk, she said it would be taken care of. The day before checking out, I talked to the front desk and they told me that the day was split among the rest of the days that were charged.
After I looked at my final bill when I got home, I saw that the charge was still there.

From beginning to end everyone was very pleasant and friendly and service was prompt. The room and bathroom are spacious, clean and relaxing. The food served in the restaurant was delicious and our server was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend staying there and hope to do so again myself.

Have been trying to book this hotel for a while, it's a beautiful place and our bedroom was lovely. Unfortunately the shower was terrible but we got another room and it was perfect. The staff couldn't have been nicer especially Esther our waitress when we ate on the first night. Would go back but not room 3 unless they've fixed the shower!!!!

Staff are very friendly! Esp the front desk and wait staff. Kenzie was helpful in storing our bags until our room was ready and letting us know when the room was ready. Food was excellent in the restaurant and the bar worked hard to give you a wide variety of cocktails and drinks

The good and bad.
The staff are INCREDIBLE. Above and beyond. The room was large but it is dated and in need of care. The shower does not work. It puts out hot and cold water at the same time. There was hair all over the bathroom and dirt/sand? In the bed.
This may be obvious to locals but it is INCREDIBLY loud downstairs. Like damage your hearing and the staff gets headaches after a shift. Seems quite unnecessary.
There is no one to help with bags so be aware. It’s a cool hotel but I wouldn’t return.

I have stayed here a few times and it is always superb, our shower and taps were leaking on this occasion and our curtains didnt fully shut meaning it was an early wake up!! But overall we love tigerlily.
