Orchid Self Catering Apartment

The apartments are excellent and right by beau vallon beach- there is also a little private beach. Spotlessly clean and everything like new. There are shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We came here twice and would come again.

Check in was confusing to find and the desk appeared to not know we had a room reservation. The registration is actually in another hotel / restaurant half a block away. There is a faded sign on the street with a tiny arrow pointing down for registration. Luckily there was a very helpful maintenance man who walked us to the front desk.

Confortable clean, spacious, villa accommodation. Nice and helpful staff. I can highly recommend this place.

Nice property, great location!

It’s a beautiful apartment and we cannot wait to come back. The outdoor porch is huge. You can sit out there be still have plenty of room to hang/dry your swimwear. The kitchen area has an oven/stove, full fridge and seating area with enough room for two people to easily exist in there at the same time. The bedroom is spacious- enough to fit two chairs, two side tables and a vanity. There’s also plenty of drawers to unpack all of your items. The bathroom is awesome because there is a also a bidet and a washing machine in there. Absolutely loved this place!

Comfortable room, with kitchen and washing machine. good location with markets and restaurants nearby, close to beautiful beaches. Room was cleaned every day. They also organized a shower for our last day, so we didn’t stink on ferry and on our way back home;P

Very good and cozy. The only complaint I have is that they started asking for payment after we’ve checked out even though we’ve paid at the location. Tried to take money from several cards which I was able to block. Then they found the payment and asked for forgiveness

Very peaceful place, walking distance from the center and the port. Very clean room, very spacious, all the staff is super friendly. We spent a great time there. I recommend!

It was a great location that was close to the harbor and most of the amenities. The location is quiet and friendly.

It is very close to the jetty ferry so you can get here easily even without having to ride a bike. The kitchenette is nice and clean and I especially loved the small washing machine! Perfect for rinsing clothes with fresh water after a long day at the beach.

Great location to beaches and restaurants. Staff is really nice and helpful. The villas are spacious and comfortable with beautiful gardens outside. There's everything you need. You get a welcome drink at check-in. They have take out and bike rentals, too. Awesome place!

It was a flat with all the necessary facilities. It is a spacious flat so there is enough space for two. The place is quite close to the jetty which is quite convenient.

We loved the location of the property, you can easily walk from a ferry. Check in was very smooth, rental bikes were delivered to our door within 10 minutes. It was nice to sit on a patio in the evening.

A/C is only in the room, which doesnt cool down the kitchen area, didnt work well. The property is far from the reception. Everything especially kitchen supplies looked very old and dirty.

Great hotel in a very active area of La Digue. Don’t miss a chat with Marston, if you don’t get to know him you’ll be missing a big part of Seychelles. Good internet connection in the rooms and there is a supermarket next door

Easy to find, nice people, very clean and well presented apartment. Cleaned and bed make up every day. Equipped with everything you could need. Did bike rental at a reasonable price. Close to the ferry Jerry so easy to walk to. Very good value for money on an expensive island

stayed at Orchid Self Catering the end of 2018. Orchids is a 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal, which is in the little town of Posse which has a Dive shop, bank, a couple of bars, police and souvenir shops. The self Catering villas are behind a restaurant. It is NOT on the water but is only 5 minutes away from the sea. It's a 15-20 minute walk to Severe beach which is a place to snorkel. There is a small supermarket next to the restaurant. The kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a very small refrigerator with a tiny ice box. There were shower amenities like shampoo, razer, and plenty of towels. Also a clothes washer. The shower got warm, not hot. I did like the location, the room was nice, the bed was comfortable. The apartment had internet. The bedroom had air conditioning, a safe, and a ceiling fan. There was no noise through the walls from the attached villa next door. There was a small seating area in front. There were a couple of small hiccups. No one met me at the ferry which they said they would do. The refrigerator was not getting cold. The technician said it was fine. The ice in the ice box would not freeze, food in the main refrigerator was only cool. I complained next day and it was replaced. Bicycle I ordered did not arrive and room phone didn't work. These problems were corrected. The reception staff was friendly and tried their best. Even with these small problems I liked the location, and found the place comfortable. Happy Travels

We booked to Orchid, but they informed us there was a mixed up with Expedia (hotels.com) so they don’t have any room for us in Orchid but arranged for us to stay at sister property Chez Marston, and providing free breakfast. While not desired, but this is a good effort on the staff.
