Had a wonderful staycation last weekend at this premises. The premier 1 bedroom is awesome and what makes this place even better was the extremely good service rendered by Ryan at front desk. My whole family was very impressed by him going out of the way to ensure our check in was smooth as silk. I'll strongly recommend this place

If you're bored of the Orchard area and wanted to stay in other areas in Singapore that's still close to many of the famous places without the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect hotel for you. I had an incredible stay at The Clan hotel. The vibe and ambiance of this hotel is impeccable. I arrived during sunset and gasped when I saw the beautiful sunset light up the luxurious lobby. I was welcomed with a tea prepared by the tea master, checked in, and loved my room soo much. The room was so chic, so comfortable, and always perfectly clean when I got back to the hotel after a long day. What's even better is just right beside the hotel you can find so many restaurants and bars that open until late at night. 1000/10 would recommend to EVERYONE!

It was my first time and I was in awe with the design of the hotel. The interior was breathtaking. Booked the luxury room and the hotel upgraded us to the 20th floor. The view of the city was amazing. We got twin single, bed was comfy. The pillows deflate as soon as we lay our heads on it. Would be nice if they were puffy instead. Room service was fantastic. Price was reasonable though, as the portion was good. The pool only operates till 8.30pm. The bookings were tight. We were lucky we got the earliest slot for 7am and had the pool to ourselves on the first day. At least for a good 1 hour. Had an award winning breakfast afterwards. I'm a Muslim and understood the menu was not halal but they managed to tweak the ingredients which I am thankful and grateful for. If they have the kitchen halal certified, they would win more tummies I bet. Hope they will reconsider someday. The receptionists were great and they were always contactable. Whatever that we request for, were sent immediately within 10 mins. We even needed help with the TV and they sent their engineers up. What a service! Would definitely recommend and will come back to visit soon. Thank you! X

Navigating dining etiquette in Shenton Way is straightforward for most international visitors. Tipping is not customary in Singapore, as service charges are usually included in the bill. It's polite to wait for your food to be served before starting to eat, and when dining at hawker centres, it's common practice to reserve seats with a packet of tissues or an umbrella. While ordering, don't hesitate to ask for recommendations; locals are generally happy to guide you through the menu. Understanding these simple customs will enhance your dining experience in this food-centric city.

Cultural Norms and Staying Safe in Shenton Way

Shenton Way, as a modern business district, generally adheres to the polite and orderly norms characteristic of Singapore. International visitors will find that respect for public spaces and adherence to rules are highly valued. While the CBD is largely professional, showing respect for elders and being mindful of noise levels in public areas are appreciated. In more traditional enclaves like nearby Tanjong Pagar, observing local customs, such as removing shoes before entering homes or certain establishments, is important. Overall, the emphasis is on maintaining a harmonious and efficient society.

When visiting landmarks or significant sites within the broader Shenton Way vicinity, such as those in the CBD or Tanjong Pagar, it's advisable to be aware of any specific etiquette. Dress codes are generally relaxed in most tourist areas, but modest attire is recommended when visiting religious sites like temples. Photography is usually permitted, but always check for signage indicating otherwise. Queuing is a deeply ingrained practice in Singapore; always join the end of the line and wait patiently for your turn, whether at a food stall, a bank, or a public transport station.

Safety in Shenton Way is exceptionally high, reflecting Singapore's reputation as one of the safest cities globally. Petty crime is rare, but it's always wise to be vigilant with personal belongings, especially in crowded areas. Reliable transportation is readily available, with the MRT system being efficient and safe. Ride-hailing apps like Grab are widely used and recommended for convenient travel. For navigation, apps like Google Maps are invaluable. International travellers can feel secure exploring the district at any time of day or night, with well-lit streets and a visible police presence.

In case of emergencies, Singapore's emergency number is 999 for police and 995 for ambulance and fire services. For Filipino travellers, the Philippine Embassy in Singapore is located at 20 Nassim Road, Singapore 258395. It's always recommended to have travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and unforeseen circumstances. For any concerns related to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) can be a resource. Staying informed and prepared ensures a smooth and worry-free trip to Shenton Way.

Getting to Shenton Way and Getting Around

For travellers from the Philippines, reaching Shenton Way in Singapore is a straightforward journey, primarily involving flights into Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). Direct flights are available from Manila (MNL), Cebu (CEB), and other major Philippine hubs, typically taking around 3.5 to 4 hours. Airlines like Singapore Airlines, Philippine Airlines, and budget carriers offer regular services. The cost of flights can vary significantly based on the season and booking time, but budget around ₱ 8,000 to ₱ 20,000 for a round trip. From Changi Airport, Shenton Way is easily accessible via the MRT, taxi, or ride-sharing services.

Once you arrive in Singapore and head towards Shenton Way, navigating the city is remarkably efficient. The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is the most recommended mode of transport for international visitors. Stations like Tanjong Pagar and Raffles Place are within easy reach of Shenton Way, connecting you to virtually every corner of the island. The best time to visit Shenton Way, and Singapore in general, depends on your preferences. The climate is tropical and humid year-round, with temperatures consistently around 30-32°C. The period from February to April is often considered ideal, with less rainfall and more sunshine, making it pleasant for exploring. The months of November to January can be wetter due to the Northeast Monsoon. While there isn't a distinct "off-season" for a global hub like Singapore, hotel prices might see slight fluctuations outside of major holidays and peak travel periods, which often align with Western school breaks.

Before you depart for Shenton Way, a few practical preparations will ensure a smooth trip. Singapore uses the Singapore Dollar (SGD), and while major credit cards are widely accepted, it's wise to carry some cash for smaller vendors or hawker centres. You can exchange currency at the airport or in the city. Purchasing a local SIM card at the airport or a convenience store is recommended for easy data access. Essential apps include Google Maps for navigation, Grab for transport, and a translation app if needed. Ensure your passport has at least six months of validity remaining.

Visa Information for Singapore (Shenton Way)

For Philippine passport holders planning a visit to Singapore to explore Shenton Way, the visa requirements are generally straightforward. Philippine citizens are granted visa-free entry into Singapore for tourism and business purposes for stays of up to 30 days. This allows for a convenient and hassle-free entry process, provided you meet the immigration requirements upon arrival. It is crucial to ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Singapore.

When arriving at Singapore Changi Airport, immigration officers will assess your eligibility for entry. You will typically need to present your Philippine passport, a completed Disembarkation/Embarkation card, and may be asked to show proof of onward travel (such as a return flight ticket) and sufficient funds to cover your stay. While not always requested, having hotel booking confirmations for your stay in Shenton Way and surrounding areas can also be beneficial. There are no visa fees for Philippine passport holders for this visa-free entry.

While the visa-free status for Philippine passport holders is well-established, immigration policies can change. Therefore, it is always recommended to verify the latest entry requirements with the official Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore or the Singapore Embassy in the Philippines before your travel dates. Had a wonderful staycation last weekend at this premises. The premier 1 bedroom is awesome and what makes this place even better was the extremely good service rendered by Ryan at front desk.
