The Finch Cottage was spacious, clean and cute. There is a bbq, pool and a beautiful yard (2 adorable dachshunds too). It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach in a great neighborhood. We walked to dinner as well. Bernie and Adrienne are really helpful and suggested Monkeyland and Birds of Eden. Loved them both. We also enjoyed Robberg Nature Reserve which is just a few minutes away. The breakfast was over the top and plentiful which is good because my daughter is a big eater! Not sure what kind of coffee the have but it was delicious. This is one of the best places we stayed in South Africa!

I had a wonderful stay at this little place. The owner could not be warmer and nicer. She provided tons of information about an area, restaurants and so on. She was always willing to answer questions. The place itself location a bit outside of the core of the town in a quiet residential area (which I liked). The beach is just 5 min walk away. My room was a cottage with separate entrance and a deck, so it was very secluded. The cottage itself was very well maintained. There was a separate lounging area with fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom. Secure parking is free to all guests, good breakfast is also included (made to order eggs). Overall a very nice place and I'll be happy to come back.

The very friendly and helpful owners, Adrienne and Bernie, set the tone for our delightful two night stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. A large and comfortable room was enhanced by the sherry which was provided for guests. Breakfast was everything you would wish it to be. We enjoyed the restaurant on the edge of town which was recommended and isn’t too far away. Everything about Bayside Lodge was to a high standard. Playing with their dachshunds was fun. You will certainly not be disappointed if you stay here.

Honestly it was one of, if not the best holidays our family have ever undertaken. Adrienne and Bernie are hosts beyond compare. Full of local knowledge and advise and assisted in bookings. Fabulous hospitality. Fabulous environment. Simply faultless. We will return and that, I think, says it all.

A wonderful guest house where Bernard and Adrienne couldn't be more helpful. Five minutes drive from the centre and even nearer the beach it is convenient for all facilities.

We chose to stay in the separate cottage which gave us extra privacy and use of a lounge and kitchenette. Very comfortable. Adrianne and Berni have a wonderful sense of style and attention to detail. Everything you need is there and they are a great source of information and the breakfast is delicious, without doubt the best on our holiday.

Rooms were excellent but hotel was not close to beach or town and rather off putting on arrival. Communal areas basic.

This is a self catering apartment 5 mins walk from Bayside Lodge at Bell Rock, with the same friendly and helpful proprietors. We were very pleased with the standard of accommodation, location, security and facilities. The only negative feature for us was lack of WiFi, which, of course, is great if you want to get away from it all!

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Die Zimmer passen zum Charme des ganzen Hauses und bieten alles, was man braucht. Alles war sehr geräumig und sauber. Das ganze ringsum ist liebevoll und schön gestaltet. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze und die Gegend ist sicher. Die Lage ist hervorragend. Nah am Strand, aber auch schnell in der Stadt. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die tollen Gastgeber. Uns wurden viele Informationen und Tipps zu allen möglichen Aktivitäten gegeben und wir haben dadurch viel mehr von der Gegend entdecken können. Dies hat den Aufenthalt richtig schön gemacht. Das Frühstück war umfangreich und lecker. Toll waren auch die Damen, die das Frühstück gebracht und zubereitet haben. Alle waren sehr herzlich und nett. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und danken für die schöne Zeit!
