This hotel did not have card locks it still used keys. the safe was not working properly. i had to use a key instead of a code. my door was left unlocked after it was cleaned.

Beautiful hotel in a central location with a wonderful restaurant. Staff was very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Bayview.

Friendly and helpful service. Bathrooms are very old and outdated, weird mix with the refurbed rooms.

Very covid considerate, you get your own bag of toilet paper and tea, which wasnt in my room so i had to go look for it at reception. Breakfast was served at the cafe across the road, and only opened at 8, but i was told it would open at 7 30 at check in, so disappointed i had to go without due to timing.

Very clean bright and simple hotel. Breakfast could be better but the restaurant for dinner was very good with best tempura prawns I have ever had.

Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Central location. We didn’t pre book breakfast but did have breakfast ordered off the menu, not the buffet and it was very nice and good value

We had a “delux room”, which meant newly renovated. Very nice, bright, clean and modern. Room only had two small widows high up, and no air conditioning. The room was hot at night. A strong fan in the room did help. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is located right in the down town - great access to everything. Good parking. All in all, a very good experience.

Nice comfy room, good view and helpful staff .

This hotel supposedly had a very good reputation some 10 years ago when my wife used to live in Plett, however we were rather disappointed. The room we were originally assigned was like a sauna when we walked in and was nearly unbearable. Not only this, but the ceiling fan did not work and the maid walked in after us and put down a floor fan, however this fan did not have a grill (which exposed the blades) and the top half of it was held together with tape to the bottom half. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe. Personally, I believe that a hotel in a generally hot region like this (during Summer time) requires air con. Not only the sweltering temperatures, but the room as also in poor condition and dirty. There was paint peeling of the walls, wires exposed from a socket (very dangerous), uncomfortable bed and dirty bathroom (we noticed a small pile of hair in one corner probably from previous room guests - disgusting). We complained to the reception staff and fortunately there was another room available (only because people hadn't checked into it yet!) and we were placed into there. This room was situated across from the original room and didn't have the sun beaming in causing the high temperatures, but was a little noisy as it face the road and the doors had to be open during the night as it was still warm. The second room was far better than the first and tolerable for our stay. The rooms also did not have mini fridges which was a little frustrating.

Nice hotel in convenient location. Reserved 2 rooms. Both were clean and comfortable, but had trouble with the hot water in one of them. Also, rooms were a bit noisy and warm at night.

Bad service. That is the least I can say. Rooms are humid and smell bad. This should not be classified as a hotel. No aircons, no shower gel. This motel leaves much to be desired.

A real surprise package. Expected a 3 star hotel but definitely should be rated higher. The room was newly refurbished and very comfortable and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Well done! The only 2 areas that could be improved were 1) the shower head needs replacing 2) There should be a wider choice of TV channels
