We had a great stay at Devonvale. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My boyfriend enjoyed playing golf at the Estate. I was able to enjoy spa treatments in the room (they do not have a spa on site anymore) as well as an on site gym. The wine estate is not open anymore but they have a great restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed our stay but we surprised that there wasn't a spa or winery anymore. But I would say the staff and comfortable rooms made up for this!

Second stay at Devonvale. Lovely hotel on a Golf Estate & Wine Farm near Stellenbosch. Stayed in an upgraded room which was spacious and came fully equipped with small kitchenette. Lovely grounds with stunning pool, close to many fantastic wine farms and 30 minutes outside Cape Town center. Rooms were air-conditioned, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic too. Only the included WiFi could be improved. Fine for general browsing, but Netflix was blocked and so were VPN connections which made it impossible to connect to my work network. Room tip: ask for a non-joining room on the upper floor.

I cannot fault my stay at Devonvale and I would highly recommend this hotel. All the staff are very attentive, especially the restaurant staff. Breakfasts were one of the highlights of mine and my husbands day. The range of food available was excellent and the quality was first class.
