As always a pleasure to stay at Jack Rose

Not for professionals it’s more of a back packing environment for under 35. they need to sale as backpacking not hotel

This would have been a perfect place to stay in Jo-burg, except my a/c didn't work, even just the blower. All I needed is was circulating air, so I had to leave the window open on a weekend, when every knucklehead with a low-resistance muffler on a 1.5L engine had to impress us with his mediocrity. (Noisy engines if you're not into the performance stuff.) Didn't sleep well until after 0300.

Staff were friendly and the price was good and appropriate for the quality of the hotel.

The location is great

There was no soap in my room but the condition of the hotel is good.

It was only a one night stay, in transit to Krüger NP. Everything was alright. The wifi was much better in the public area than in the room though. Rosebank Mall is within walking distance so you can do your shopping easily if needed. They have their own parking as well.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The establishment is clean and it is also secure. Room aircon works; which was a necessity with the freezing Johannesburg weather! Housekeeping came the following morning; that was quite nice. We ordered breakfast ; both options available on the menu at he time of stay- the food was delicious and the portion more than reasonable. The TV in my room did have a problem; it was stuck buffering when loading a show. But it streamed YouTube just fine. The issue was the TV itself; the wifi was stable and I was able to watch from my devices. Overall; a very good experience. I would go back!

I want to move in even. That's just how much I loved staying there.

Spotlessly clean with large living room, bedroom and kitchenette and a small bathroom with shelving for toiletries. Conveniently close to Rosebank Mall and the Gautrain. Huge cupboards. Good quality and very clean linen. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is included and was delivered to the room promptly at the requested time. The overall price for the facility was very low. However, there is no decoration in the rooms, no pictures, no rugs, nothing that would make the room feel comfortable. Unfortunately, that meant I felt like I was in a sterilized hospital room. The TV is linked to the internet so you can access your own DSTV account, Netflix etc. but since connectivity was not stable every few minutes my Netflix show would give me the dreaded unable to connect message and I would have to wait a few minutes to reconnect. My skype calls kept dropping. I eventually gave up watching TV and bought a portable wifi device to listen to music and do my skype calls for business. This facility would be perfect for families that need space and don't want to worry about the little ones breaking things. For a business person who only wants a room to sleep it would also be fine. For those who want to relax after a hard day or who depend on stable internet for transacting business its not ideal at least not until the internet connections is stabilized.

This place cares more about how the room and facility looks than any real quality. Cold and sterile environment intent on being classy, fails miserably as electrical cables hang damaged and mold lines the corners by the floors. The night receptionist was very uninterested and did the absolute minimum. The guy helping with parking and showing us the room was very friendly and informative however. The "studio room" featured a rock hard sofa in front of a TV that was not even plugged in when I came to the room. The bed, equally rock hard, was the only thing good about the room. Taking a shower in the bathtub (there was no shower booth) had me almost tripping as the tub was curved and not meant to be used standing up. All rooms had very open views to corridors and the ground level streets, having me spending my entire stay with all blinds closed and curtains pulled out. The entire place was very noisy, as the walls were completely bare. I could hear all neighbouring room activities, from talking to walking to ...other. Some rugs and wall decorations to soften the sound seem like a minimum for a place taking this kind of money.

Quarto ótimo! Hotel passando por quedas de energia o q causou muita confusão! As vezes 4h/dia para poder ter luz, abastecer o celular e tomar banho. Atrasava demais a programação!
