Basoan

This was one of my favourite stays. Spacious, quiet, breakfast was incredible, staff were accommodating, loved our room, overall amazing experience and would recommend to anyone.

Relaxing stay! The room was comfortable and clean. The entire property is beautiful. The breakfast was excellent each morning and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace sipping our wine and eating our snacks from the local market.

The breakfast was excellent. They told us about a fiesta in Mungia that we were able to attend. We needed to drive to dinner but both recommended restaurants were very good and only a short drive.

Fabulous room with kitchenette. Beautiful setting, kind and attentive hosts. I would definitely stay here again during my next trip to Spain.

Our stay at Basoan was amazing. It was a nice central location from which to take day trips into Bilbao or around the region. The hosts were very helpful and generous. The room and surrounding area was very relaxing - just what we wanted after a week of traveling around. If we are ever in the area we will most definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a countryside escape that is in a beautiful area, yet not very far from the big city of Bilbao and airport, this accommodation fits the bill. The setting is lovely. These modern suites have full height windows with doors that allow an unhindered view of the beautiful forest from anywhere in the room. Electrically controlled, full window shutters are in place for those hot days. Our suite, Haritza, is very large with a super king sized bed and a huge walk-in shower. There is a living/dining area with a couch and large TV as well as a kitchenette, that allowed us to cook some meals. We also had our own secure wifi router signal ! The swimming pool is pristine. Lay on the sun loungers to relax under the sun or the umbrellas. Watch the hawks, martins, cranes fly by. Maybe you will see the deer as well. The staff are very helpful and friendly, like all the people we met in the Basque area. Breakfast was a treat. You can have your eggs cooked to order and enjoy a selection of prepared fruits and beverages. Sit inside or outside, if you prefer. You will need a vehicle however, if you wish to explore the area but even short trips are very rewarding. After just 2 nights, we decided to extend our stay for over a week ! For us, Basoan became our hub and returning after a day out, was like coming home. If you enjoy the countryside, nature, peace and quiet, then this accommodation is a great choice.

An incredibly beautiful property. We stayed in probably the best room as it was the top floor corner with a gorgeous balcony view of the area, and the pool. Full open kitchen with dining and living room space. Stunning combination of modern contemporary architecture with clean lines but mixed rustic elements to create a wonderful vibe of comfort. Wish we stayed for more than one night.

As a world wide traveller, this has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed. Relaxing, comfortable, stylish and beautiful. I’m already planning when I can go back and enjoy one of Jokin’s omelettes for breakfast.

We have been in Spain for over 2 weeks and this was our favorite accommodation. Large and modern with a kitchen, a swimming pool and nestled among the trees and a few horses. The staff and dining areas were fantastic. And the breakfasts delicious. There is also a nice swimming pool. For us this was a perfect location for exploring Bilbao.

What a delight the hotel is beautiful outside and inside. Clean lines, modern with a great eco vibe. The staff were very personable and helpful. The countryside is just beautiful. We really enjoyed being out of Bilbao and near the coast

Un 10! Lugar excelente en medio de ls montañas con todos las facilidades y piscina. Todo muy nuevo y limpio. El almuerzo es otra dimensión, fuera de lo habitual con productos locales y comida sana hecha al instante. Gracias por todo

We booked Basoan to unwind after a city trip and a cruise and it was the perfect location to relax! Just a 10 minute ride from Bilbao airport Basoan is a quiet secluded place surrounded by greenery, but close enough to the city and beautiful beaches and sightseeing opportunities - provided that you have a car. The „hotel“ itself is small and well equipped. Rooms are spacious and clean, WiFi (much more important than TV) is fast and reliable and the pool is a welcome way to refresh. Breakfast is being served, other meals you can either prepare in the in-room kitchen or go to the restaurants and bars in close proximity. Communication with the staff was friendly and they also supplied great tips for excursions and restaurants. Basoan is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation and/or a workation. Highly recommended, five stars!

Nos hospedamos una semana en el estudio para tres personas y estuvimos muy cómodos. Se descansa muy bien, no hay ruido y la temperatura en Agosto es perfecta. El estudio también cuenta con una cocina que tiene todo lo necesario y más. Además, incluye productos básicos como aceite, sal, café, etc, y también gel, champú, acondicionador, secador de pelo, en el baño. La piscina rinde homenaje al nombre del alojamiento... es una pasada la tranquilidad que se respira. Nos gustó mucho el diseño de todo el alojamiento, cuidan el entorno y se preocupan por integrar las instalaciones en la naturaleza. En cuanto al personal estuvimos encantados con el trato. Tanto María, Jokin y Guille fueron muy atentos. El desayuno es excepcional, todo de comercio cercano y de muy buena calidad, y el hecho de que te preparen una tortilla al momento o incluso pancakes (receta de Guille!!) no tiene precio. El hotel está muy bien situado si no te importa coger el coche cada día. Nosotros visitamos la zona norte entre Bilbao y San Sebastián y estuvimos encantados con la localización del hotel. Además, Jokin y María nos dieron muchas recomendaciones y muy buenas sobre dónde comer y qué visitar (mil gracias!). Es un hotel que te permite descansar y relajarte en todos los aspectos. Merece mucho la pena. Seguro que volveremos a visitaros! Gracias por todo!

Establecimiento nuevo, con diseño muy cuidado y todo muy cómodo, en un entorno rural pero a la vez muy bien comunicado con Bilbao y la costa. La piscina es un plus, y también la amabilidad de Jokin y Guillermo, preparan un desayuno espectacular. Los huevos fritos con chistorra resucitan a un muerto!

Excellent séjour dans cette résidence toute récente et au calme ressourçant. Rien à redire, tout est parfait et conforme aux photos !
