Benalma Hotel Costa del Sol

Not much happening in the area, but it’s perfect for a calm, peaceful, and quiet getaway for a couple of days. Fantastic rooftop bar, and the beach outside isn’t exactly 'private', but it’s not busy either, so it was still enjoyable. I would have preferred if sunbeds and umbrellas were offered for free, since we paid a lady for some.

Paid on site parking. Very busy tourist hotel. Totally understaffed in the main bar and the bar by the adult swimming pool on beach front. Check in slow and check out even slower as we needed a Factura which was a major challenge. Receptionist at check in and checl out was the same and she did not fully understand the system. Alas. We booked 3 rooms for 1 night.

Great views on every floor to the sea! This is one of the only hotels where the pictures on their gallery match up to expectations when you get there. Clean and tidy hotel. Lots of great seating areas for evening drinks. Location wise close to lots of great restaurants and bars.

Location: The hotel boasts a fantastic location right on the seafront, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. It's perfectly situated — peaceful and relaxing, yet close enough to Benalmádena’s vibrant marina and charming old town for a bit of exploration. Rooms: Our room was modern, spotless, and beautifully designed with a private balcony overlooking the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. Amenities: The pool area is stunning, with plenty of sunbeds and a serene atmosphere. The rooftop terrace is a must-visit, especially at sunset — truly magical! The spa services were top-notch, and the fitness center was well-equipped. Dining: The food was a highlight. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options — from continental to Spanish specialties. We also dined at the hotel’s restaurant and were blown away by the service and flavors. Staff: What sets Benalma Hotel apart is the staff. Very nice family swimming pool, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Location a bit far away from restaurants and shops. Beach in front of the hotel is decent. Overall a good option for families.

Was really disappointed that I was freezing cold all night & had no sleep. The bed had only a flimsy sheet, with no option of extra blanket or quilt! Finally went to reception to ask if a single sheet was normal as I’d been cold, but their reply was that they’d send a blanket to the room later, which was completely useless as I was checking out shorty after! Apart from that, the hotel was generally very nice, but for me, that’s no compensation for no sleep!

Absolutely amazing Hotel definitely worth a visit

I didn’t like the fact that although you paid extra for all inclusive the cocktails were horrible pre-mix things rather than proper cocktails mixed by the waiters. Also many areas are not included in the all inclusive - the roof bar and the beach bar. You could not regulate the air-con in either the gym or in your room. It was all centrally controlled and the temperature in the gym was far too hot.

This is my second stay at the Hotel. The standard of the hotel is exceptional. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is kept well maintained and cleaned. It’s peaceful and the views you wake up to by the sea are amazing. I would recommend this hotel and it’s not too far from the airport. I hope to make a third return one day as it’s the only hotel I would chose over and over. Highly recommend the resort. Thank you for allowing me too enjoy my trip once again.

A very nice hotel, good location and comfortable rooms with a lovely view if you're on the higher floors. Some of the outdoor areas look a bit tired but other than that fine. The problem for us as a couple was that it attracts large groups.

Horrible customer service, not flexible at all. Never answered any calls to their reception or office.

The property is a bit dated and rooms can benefit from some maintenance. Minimal room amenities. Water/coffee was not replenished with the daily cleaning.
