What Guests Say About Their Stay

The hotel was remarkable for its splendid high-ceiling room, and wooden floor well maintained with aromatic oils. Dinner service is quite professional. The town of Bera is known for being the place where Pío Baroja and his famous relativos lived and died. We wished to hear the sounds of the notable organ located at the cathedral, but it was not possible fue to unavailability of Church officials. Other than the organ and the Pío Baroja house that was unavailable as well, there seems to be not much of interest to visit in Bera.

We loved this hotel. We will definitely be coming back. A perfect 18th century house. With all the old beams and woodern and stone floor. Very friendly staff. The room was big, huge comfortable bed. Bathroom with bath/shower. Great garden you can sit in. Car park. Breakfast included. Located in the mountains.

Great character while retaining comfort. Lovely bedroom as well as other hotel areas with a range of high quality furniture in excellent condition. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staying here is a must if anywhere close in the area. Great experience, great value - even better than a very good parador we recently stayed in

This is a piece of heaven, especially for tourists who are hiking in the Pyrenees. What a delightfull garden and what a friendly staff! One tip for customers: choose a room on the garden-site of the hotel, so you won't hear the debates of the guests of the neighboring café/restaurant when you want to sleep.

We had a lovely stay here with my husband’s parents. 2 rooms on the 1st floor. Rooms were clean and spacious. It was quite warm in the rooms. And the showers were good. Although my Mother in law struggled to get in and out of the over bath shower. Real fast was lovely and the restaurant food was too. Not over priced ....The only down side was there is not a lot to do in the town and there were no restaurants open, maybe out of season perhaps mid October.

I chose this hotel because it was close enough day trips to San Sebastian, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, & Saint Jean-Pied-de-Port, & the price was reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this 3 star, historic hotel. The staff were so helpful & service was lovely; the common sitting room for guests and breakfast room was comfortable & elegant, with a cocktail hour. The continental breakfast was absolutely fantastic - many high-quality items from which to choose. The room itself was as expected from an older building - smaller but comfortable, & my room had a view to the church. The bathroom was modern & had everything I required, including a hairdryer. My only wish was that the towels were just a little better, or perhaps laundered differently (they felt a little scratchy, but I'm being picky). Everything you could want for a short stay is within walking distance, & the town itself is very charming. I loved my stay so much that I would return again JUST to stay at this hotel & explore this tiny town and area again. This hotel did not feel like 3 star hotel at all, & I was incredibly happy with the experience. Important to note - the church is situated directly behind the hotel, and the church bell rings regularly. If you are a light sleeper, you will definitely need to keep your window closed. There is plenty of parking on site, which is great. You will need to enter from the parking area, as the "front" of the hotel isn't necessarily the best to enter.

A lovely boutique hotel, well positioned for cycling and skiing. Yet close enough to drive to the coast (25 mins). Lovely meals are available at the restaurant and the staff are friendly. Ownly downside is the rooms are quite hot. Although they advertised air conditioning, they didn’t have it (they advised they will update Expedia with this)

Very quiet and peaceful setting. Accomodations and dining atmosphere very elegant and superb cuisine. The locals are very happy to see visitors in town and Yeager to talk about where we came from. The charcuterie next door is superb. Walking along the river was very invigorating. I would come back in an instant with my eyes closed. The hotel staff was very accomodating and Yeager to make our stay very special.
