I have been to the Forum 3 or 4 times, and slept comfortably. I don't get all the negative reviews. OK, the bathroom IS small, but the rooms are good-sized, the beds and atmosphere very restful. If you're really bothered by the fact that it once was a hospital, is run by unabashed Christians & doesn't allow drinking or smoking, this is the wrong place for you. If not, well, it's just a nice place. Electronic locks provide extra security, breakfast was good though not extravagant - everything you need. My husband is going to be very disappointed that it doesn't seem to be available for New Year's Eve. Sold out, I guess. So it looks like more people want a clean & clean-cut place than a grubby party hotel after all - lots of those left! This one is truly nice.

The property is great in the centre of a small town. Number of eating and drinking places close by. HOWEVER there is no front desk and arrangements have to be made to check in. There's a buzzer at the door but nobody answers. The assumption is that everyone has a working cell phone to call the owners who live next door and get someone to come and check you in. We had to take our phone off "airplane mode" which cost us 8 Euros. Not good. We don't use Hostals as a rule and this won't change that practice.

Only one hand towel was in the room, we had to request towels for the shower. There was a peculiar smell when we entered the hotel. No breakfast was available within a half mile of the hotel. We did not know about the blinds and we suffered from the street lights keeping us awake.

Villa del Rio is a good base for exploring both Cordoba and the nearby natural parks. Hostal Forum is a good basic hotel - obviously you don't expect luxury at these prices but it was clean, comfortable and convenient and the owners were friendly and helpful. Two minor negative points - the wifi was very unreliable, and an unpleasant agricultural smell occasionally engulfs the whole surrounding area.

I have stayed in different hotels and this one is the worst. It felt like an asylum when I entered and the room was like a jail cell. the shower was literally a shoe box. You couldn't lift your arms and do a turn with out hitting the walls. the smell was of a hospital stale and dingy.

I stay at the Forum when I come to Ft Lauderdale on business. It's a clean, safe, well-maintained, no-frills hotel that provides a good nights sleep, clean atmosphere and a continental breakfast the next morning.

I read the previous review and disagree completely. The hotel may be in a remodeled hospital, yet it is clean and the staff friendly. I have stayed at this hotel twice and my only complaint is the temperature. The individual room temperature cannot be increased, if you decide to stay here, request an extra blanket. Disregard the previous review. The religious nature of the hotel is not forced on the visitors. No one ever spoke of religion or focred their opinions on us when we stayed there. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will stay there again without question.

Although the hotel is nice, since it appeared to be a converted senior living location it was uncomfortable. Great idea to help troubled individuals but having stipilation on beverages used at the location made it less desirable

This lodging falls under the heading of, 'you get what you pay for', so please realize that this is not a 4-star hotel chain. What it is, is a clean building, conveniently located off of Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida, for a rate that is less than 1/3rd of anyplace else you will find in the area. Why is it so inexpensive? Because you are paying for a clean room and a warm bed without any frills or amenities. You won't get turndown service, there won't be a chocolate on your pillow, etc. The Forum was formerly a hospital that was renovated and changed into a hotel which caters to ministries of various denominations and beliefs. As a result there is a strict policy on no alcohol on the premises, but I found they did not proselytize, and it was not as uncomfortable for me (as an athiest) as I worried it might be. All in all, if you want a pool, fancy pillows, and posh surroundings, then head for one of the hotel chains or one of the motels on the beach. If your main goal is to save money while still getting a good night's rest, then this is the place for you.

Let me see...how can I put this delicately?............. This place is a freaking DUMP! Aside from the fact that it is located in some weird South Florida mix of urban ghetto/industrial park and is at least 5 miles from any typical retailer or service that the average American traveler would ever use, the place is also a weird mix of Christian ministry/wellness center/kidney dialysis center/cheap motel and, get this.............It's located in some old hospital building that has been converted to all of the above! Read that again because it is NOT a misprint! What's worse is that our room was located in the old psychiatric ward with a bunch of locked rooms opening onto a central day room looking place and it is all under electronic lock and key..... Nurse Ratchet could have come walking through and I wouldn't have been the least bit surprised. The place is truly creepy beyond words; to say nothing of the fact that the accommodations are on a par with something like a Motel 6, without a pool. The shower (no bathtub) is about 4 square feet and it has some raggedy looking shower curtain hanging across the opening. No toiletries, cheap bath linens, worn out furniture and about 1/3rd the normal number of cable TV channels. They offer a "power breakfast" for guests but you have to "ask the desk clerk for the location"....like it's some sort of big secret or something. Frankly I would be afraid to eat the food or (drink the water) for fear that they might put something in the food to drug the diners so they can kidnap them and take them off to some Cristian cult indoctrination camp.

Arrived the day prior to leaving for a cruise. Hotel is quite a distance from the airport and appeared to be a refurbished hospital. I chose this hotel because it was supposedly near the airport and had airport shuttle service - neither which are true. Definitely do not take a taxi. It would have been cheaper to rent a car. Also, there are no amenities in the immediate area. And to make matters worse, they gave me a room key to a room that was already occupied.

I stayed @ this hotel for two nights in the first week of December. Very nice accomodations for the price. Good room, good service and a functional Fitness Center too. Conntinental Breakfast and free wireless internet service were definitely a plus alongwith the 3 star rating. Definitely a good buy! The no smoking policy is what attracted me to this hotel in the first place, and their no alcholol requirement is understood too, by virtue to it being a Christian facility.

It took a while to check into this hotel. They charged $deposit even though the room was prepaid. The beds were very small but the room was in pretty good condition for the cost. Nice view from the room and well maintained property. Parking is free but hard to find at times due to place doubles as a office space. Not really close to anything. If you stay there drive or if out of town rent a car. Wireless internet did not work in room and the buffet was not the greatest for breakfast. Overall good for the 30 bucks but I would not pay more.

This is not a hotel but a Christian Conference Center renting out dorm rooms around a central classroom space. The restaurant on site provides Ramen noodles, corn dogs, Chef-Boy-R-Dee pasta cups to be microwaved in your dorm room. The sheets were stained, the bathroom was dirty and tiny, the facilities were not as presented on-line. This listing made no mention of the type of facility it was and they refused to credit the refund for the unused days when we left early to find a real hotel. There is no manager on site evenings or weekends to deal with problems and it was only when online called the manager at home that we got our credit.

Céntrico, muy buena situación, cerca de la plaza y del río. Fácil aparcamiento al lado del hotel. Limpieza excelente. La habitación un poco pequeña, pero en general, muy buen hostal.
