Galaxy Star Hostel Barcelona

This hostel was absolutely the worst place. Avoid at all cost. You actually do not save money. Their hidden fees will cost you more than some hotels in Barcelona. Staff are disinterested in helping their customers.

The hostel is not clean. I am not satisfied with the service provided by the staff.

With my family and solo, I have stayed in several bed and breakfasts in the U.K. The Bay Horse is the best of them all for several reasons: beautifully renovated old coaching inn, quiet and clean rooms, outstanding breakfasts, fabulous little touches like fresh fruit in the room as well as a delicious chocolate laid out on the bed upon arrival, scenic location, and of course warm hospitality.

Unfriendly staff to the point of rudeness who overcharged despite having a reservation and then added some extra hidden fees. The place stunk was was so poorly lit you could mistake it for a drug den. Avoid.

Didn’t expect a very comfortable stay but it was very uncomfortable with the loght in the room switching off automatically every 10 minutes, the toilet’s light and the shower also off by itself. Bed sheet was not provided. You have to pay for it. No heater. If I know this is the condition of the room, would rather pay more for a better comfort. I have stayed in a cheap hostel before but this is the worst so far

Location is good, close to metro and bus, but hostel itself is pretty lacking, management is unfriendly and greedy. Free breakfast = coffee, they put out 1 box of pastery and it's gone with half hour then nothing else. Bathroom condition is great though, beds are kinda of close to one another as expected.

This is an acceptable place, but that's really about it, beds are close to each other, they charges you 2 euros for bed sheets, room is cold and you have to ask for thick sheets, sometimes breakfast is provided and sometimes not, when it's served it's first come first serve, wake up too late it's all gone. But common room is big which is good for socializing, kitchen is ok size with 3 frigs, BUT no stoves, microwave and oven only.

Arrived at hostel early in the morning. I was tired and exhausted. Staff was so kind to allow me check in early at 10am. And even after checked out, I was allowed to take a shower as I would catch my bus at late night. Price is pretty cheap with coffee and juice provided. The bad thing was that the room was not spacious for twelve people. Just staying for few nights is okay.

No air-conditioning room to narrow. Most midle-east. Not friendly.

It was good, but they need to clean better, and indeed they need customer service.

Not really a nice hostel. Lights in rooms swich off every five minutes, windows don't really open and lockers are pretty small. Showers also aren't good, they swich off every 20 seconds, and no-one showers in 20 seconds. Kitchen only has microwave and an oven that doesn't seem to ever get cleaned. The common area isn't really great either, always horrible music playing. Only good thing is that you get free coffee/juice I guess.

Booked this hostel last min. Too expensive per night for what you get. I was between this hostel and another one and the only reason I picked this one was because it said breakfast included. There is no breakfast, be aware that they only give coffee and juice... nothing else. The location - closest metro is about a 5min walk. Not close to any of the major sights. You can walk to La Rambla, its about a 15-20min walk. You have to pay 2 euro for bed sheets and 2 euro for towel per night, non refundable. During my stay, I had a problem which is not the hostels fault but the night guy could have handled better (dont know his name)... the guy on the top bed brought in a girl, I was not able to sleep due to the noise and of course the bunk bed shaking, went to reception asked the guy to change my bed. He went in, came out and just told me to wait 5min till they were done!! Hello, Im a paying customer, you do not tell that to your customer. The morning reception guy is nice, he was willing to change my room the next day. I would not stay at this hostel again. Too expensive for what it is, you can find better and closer to main attractions.

Realmente me parecio un lugar donde el personal en general es muy poco amable. No me senti comida, ya que las personas de ahi son bastante mal educadas.

Ils m'ont prélèvé 3 nuit alors que j'en ai réservé que 2 une arnaque fuyez We reserved 2 night and they took 3 night!
