Hostal La Macarena

Clean room, friendly staff, and great location. The room was on the small side for a couple is my only complaint.

It was incredibly nice and excellent location

Everything was very good.

The room was small, but had a charm and a comfy bed and they gave me a little balcony that looked over to the 400 year-old courtyard and each and every member that worked there were just the kindest nicest people. I had a lovely time I wanna bring back my parents.

Very friendly staff an owner. The hostel is open 24hrs so they hold your key when you go which makes a very safe place. Great location and right next the Plaza Mayor.

Room and bathroom were cleaned, shower was clogged.

perfect location,few steps from plaza mayor.. very close to all the restaurants that we wanted to try including Botin,Revuelta,La Campana,, Gines chocolateria and many more. There are also restaurants on the street level of the hotel building. there are 2 metro stations nearby(La Latina & Tirso de Molina stations). Madrid is a very walkable city

If you are conversational in Spanish an want a quaint place situated in the center of Madrid then I highly recommend staying at this accommodation. You are less than 10 minutes away from the Sol Metro and 3 min walk to the San Miguel Market. However, the rooms are located on the 3rd floor of the building and the entrance to the 3rd floor is always locked. Therefore we often had to go to the 2nd floor to ask the receptionist to open the door which was pretty inconvenient if you go in and out all day. Multiple the dining options around and historical sites are walkable. Recommend if traveling with young adults vs elderly.

Great location.

It was a great find. It is close to everything in Centro Madrid. The room was very small but has a lot of character. It was clean, quaint and charming. The balcóny is adorable. I was very happy with it. Practical, cute and great price. There is also a place near where you can store your bags. I would definitely go back.

Perfect location just 2 mins from San Miguel Food market and the local squares. Within 20-30 mins walk of most other locations on our list. The staff were friendly and helpful. We weren’t planning on spending too much time in our room, so although basic, it was very clean and comfortable, so perfect for our stay.

Perfect position

The Hotel was in a brilliant location and great value for money. Although a little dated, it had great charm including a delightful covered balcony. The staff were charming and helpful and check-in/check-out easy and convenient. Will happily return if in Madrid again.

Excellent location! Close to everything.

They were very accommodating. The place was spotlessly clean and just down the stairs from Plaza Major.

Very central. Easy to find. Adequate accommodation for the price.
