Charming country inn with gracious helpful hosts. Jose and Nuria are wonderful hosts, providing stylishly decorated rooms and common areas, lots of good advice for enjoying the area and delicious dinners. We were sorry to leave their home and would highly recommend staying here. Just take Jose’s advice for the best route up to the inn instead of what looks like the shortest route on a GPS site—which was more difficult tiny mountain roads.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casona de Quintana while visiting the nearby cave paintings at Cuevas Covalanas and Culallvera. We stayed in the very spacious suite which was magnificently restored to highlight it’s ancient beauty and filled with lovely antiquities. All this -and with every modern convenience available. Homemade dinner was available every evening in the cozy restaurant downstairs overlooking the herb garden. Beautuful, comfortable, clean, modern, ancient and quite a treat for total relaxation. José and his wife are also the most friendly and helpful hosts.

A beautiful boutique hotel in stunning countryside. We stayed in a suite with our own sitting out area that led straight into a lovely garden with a view to die for. We left feeling totally relaxed and recharged.

We stayed for six nights in July and loved every minute. The hotel is set in a beautiful and peaceful location with stunning views. Our room was comfortable and homely. Nutria's cooking is excellent you will eat and drink very well here! Breakfast was a pleasure each morning trying different local produce with beautiful fresh orange juice and the best cafe con leche ever! Each wine we had here was superb as was the evening meals, we actually ate here four nights out of our six nights stay. You will definitely need a car to stay here as it is around an hour to visit anywhere on average, but we enjoyed the beautiful mountain drive each day and it was a pleasure returning to our lovely hotel. Great place to relax, enjoy the views, excellent cuisine and as a base to explore northern Spain. We visited Bilbao, Santander, Noja, Comillas, Santoña and Castro Urdiales and highly recommend them all! All staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely stay here, we would love to return!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 7 days during late October 2016. We flew into Santander Airport, rented a car which I highly recommend you do. This hotel is a little more than an hour away from the airport. The views to the hotel are breathtaking. We are from Los Angeles, CA and wanted to escape from the city life for a moment. Cantabria is such a beautiful place, we fell in love with all the nature you see out there, the beauty that is our world. We enjoyed every minute of each day out there. Days feel longer, we were able to relax, breath fresh air, eat fresh food and meet great people. The hotel was better than I expected. It had a Spanish style to it but also had a rustic cabin feel to it. The views from our room just blew my mind. The outdoor patio had a romantic feel to it. It was previous. You can see the mountains all around you and at one point I saw cattle in a field next to us. If your from the city and don't see these things often, you can appreciate it so much more. The owners and staff of the hotel were so amazing to us. They love their guest and make you feel like family. They are helpful with any question you may have and cook AMAZING food!!! Breakfast was yummy with fresh butter, cheese and bread. My husband and I are pescatarian and they were able to make a menu just for us. The hotel also has the bottom level area that is like the fun room. They have board games, books, a bar, cozy couches and a cute little shop filled with precious antiques.

Located in the middle of a parc national the setting is wonderful as long as the sun is with you.there is plenty to do and see for a 2 night stay. We were extremely lucky to happen upon a flock of very large raptors flying directly above us and over us at as close as 20 meters. We estimated that there were more than 40 of them in a small area.

We spent one night at this hotel on our way back to Santander. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcomed. Our room was a fusion of contemporary and antique, and was large and comfortable. The 20€ 3 course dinner was home cooked and tasty and breakfast was a selection of fresh coffee and fresh bakery. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel - but be prepared for a long, picturesque mountain drive to the rural village.

Words cannot describe how amazing this hotel is. It is tucked away in a tiny village in the mountains not too far from Santander and BIbao and, although it is hard to find, it is so worth it. We only had two nights here but could happily have stayed forever! Spoil yourself and go!!!!

Experiencia excelente.
