The staff was amazing. They made the visit wonderful. The hotel was clean, comfortable everything it was advertised to be. Note to the owner, please be kind and patient with all your staff, they are wonderful, work very hard and never talk about you.....

Place is unique and very well kept. Pictures do not do justice. Above all Pielagos has the friendliest people in the world

Convenient for the ferry

Run by a lovely, attentive family. Bit off the beaten track but that's one of its charms and well worth the trouble. Beautiful hotel, exquisite room and the best breakfast we had in three weeks of travel through Italy, France and Spain!

One of the best choices we made to stay that night. The staff were very friendly and everyone was very professional. The food at the restaurant is amazing. Even if you are not staying, this is a wonderful place to have a delicious dinner with a special person. Highly recommend it.

Good location for ferries from Santander. Nice ambiance, friendly staff. Great food in the restaurant. Very happy with our stay. Larger towels would be an improvement for this hotel.

Special place to stay in a “castle” style accommodation with a bistro style restaurant. Gardens and terraced area. Buffet breakfast and free parking. Restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday evening- would have been good to know this in advance- we assumed it would be open. Did walk (30 minutes) to a recommended restaurant. Found a little supermarket / garage for late night snacks. Conveniently located to visit Santander, Torrelavega and beach at Liencres. Toiletries, spacious en-suite, air conditioning, hairdryer, spacious room with although tiny window very much in keeping with a castle feel. Buffet breakfast was fruit, boiled eggs, salami and cheese, toast, croissants and cake. Coffee machine with good choice of coffee. Nutella and honey. 24 hour manned reception.

We loved the hotel and its majestic look. Very clean rooms, quiet hillside location, and easy access free parking. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was excellent. A one-of-a-kind romantic getaway hideout for couples!!

A very comfortable one-night stopover on arrival in Spain from the Santander ferry driving south. The owner and staff were really helpful with advice on my onward travel across the mountains due to the recent snow.
