Hotel Roca

Our stay at this hotel was amazing! Staff extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. Our room was sparkling clean! Beautifully made up. We ate at the restaurant located in the hotel. No menu for the evening meal, but the choices given by the staff were delicious. The best thing (and all US travellers will appreciate this), you can drive right up to the front of the hotel and PARK YOUR CAR! No charge! There should be six stars for this! No driving around looking for a white line, free parking spot (if you find one, it's usually a long ways from your hotel), and no worries about your rental car being parked in some spot you hope you can remember where it is, and that it's safe. Hotel Roca is also conveniently located by several supermarkets, ATM's (in case you need to get Euros using your debit or charge card), and the sea. (We didn't go to the beach, but staff can give you directions.) The only teeny, tiny downside is the mattress is firm, and we are used to a super soft one. But that is not the hotel's fault. Everything was perfect! We couldn't have chosen a better hotel!

Compared to other hotels in the area and considering the promising specification, the relatively low cost for a two night stay in the hotel Roca at first seemed to be too good to be true. Easy to find on a main road, the hotel has ample covered parking. The reception staff were friendly and polite. First impression of the hotel interior was that it was smart, clean and well appointed with a comfortable lobby, bar and restaurant. Our airconditioned rooms were also well appointed, clean and smart with large bathrooms and balconies. In the well maintained gardens there is a decent pool. Although breakfast at the hotel was of good quality we ate out for lunch and dinner. The seafront is only a few minutes walk away and it is a an easy stroll along the seafront path to the town of Vinaros which has many good quality and value places to eat. There is also a reasonable size sandy beach here. The high class but comparitively much busier resorts of Benicarlo and Peniscola are only minutes away by motor vehicle.
