Fabulous staff, excellent breakfast, wonderful room

We had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at the hotel. Lovely comfortable, clean room and convenient location for sightseeing in Leon. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Excellent choice of food available at breakfast. Staff at reception and in the dining rooms all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

The room is very comfortable and the location is excellent

The room was very comfortable. The heat worked well! The design of the room worked for us especially the bathroom area with the sink separate from the toilet/bath. Room also had a spacious foyer with a large closet. Room included refrigerator and good coffee maker. Front desk staff was excellent and provided us with an umbrella.

What a lovely little hotel, in the middle of a very wonderful city. The staff were so wonderful, and I found the hotel very comfortable. I would add the disclaimer that I utilized my hard-earned Spanish skills to check-in, but the staff could clearly speak English. I just think Leon is better to unlock if you speak moderate Spanish.

Great location Nice rooms Quiet

Horrific. I had messaged the hotel when I made the booking to say I had 2 dogs. It was included as a pet friendly hotel on Expedia. When I arrived they said they only accepted one dog of a small weight. The woman on the desk was extremely agressive. They would not allow me to stay - although I see they have taken my money. I asked for the manager. He was huge and equally aggressive. I'm around 50 kilos. I fled. Except now I was in Leon on my own on a Friday night with 2 dogs. I had driven from north of Porto. I couldn't pick up internet to see what I could do. By this time I was shaking. I am a woman travelling on her own in a foreign country. Finally got internet and called NH in Bilbao where I had stayed before, wirh the 2 dogs - I had given them a great review. They gave me a room. They could hear I was very upset and were very concerned and helpful. So, having driven 6 hours already, I had to drive another 3 hours to Bilbao. The lady on reception gave my dogs a big hug - by that stage I needed one too. I still feel very shocked this morning - and exhausted. In all my years of living or travelling in Spain, I have never experienced this type of reaction. My dogs have stayed in some of the best hotels and there has never been an issue. If they were not going to accept my dogs, why didn't they respond to my message, instead of confirming the booking. I am a small woman in her late 60s. I felt extremely intimidated by these people. This is not a safe place.

When driving to hotel parking at the back, there were no signages to direct to front door

A lovely hotel on the Plaza Mayor. Our room was in the new wing, and it was very very nice. The plaza is undergoing work, so the location wasn’t as nice as when my wife’s sister stayed recently, but it’s close to everything, so no biggy.

NH have a good standard operation in all respects. The property in Leon is operating above the normal level.

Room was a bit dated but comfortable. Location was great.

Wonderful Placement

This hotel is well situated in the historic part of Leon. It has a prominent spot in the Plaza Mayor with incredible views from the balconies (definitely worth a few extra dollars). Handful of restaurants are just outside the front door. The Cathedral and many more restaurants, pastry and ice cream shops, neighborhood markets, and other shops are all within a leisurely 5-10 min walk. Each member of front desk staff were competent, capable, and courteous...they could easily work front desk or concierge in a 5 star hotel. The reason for a 4 rather 5 rating is for some improvements - room flooring and showers. NOTE: If you have a balcony room on weekend there will be some noise but it didn't bother us.

Excellent Hotel . Quiet , even the rooms facing the Plaza AC could not be turned below 19.5 C Probably regulated by the government Will recommend
