Was great location for exploring and very comfortable rooms

Second visit and exactly as it says on the tin. Perfect location in CC near all amenities professional friendly staff could fault a thing thank you well done

This hotel is nice and centrally located for sightseeing and restaurants. Nice breakfast but a little pricey, but it gets the day off to a good start. Clean tidy, don’t expect a view.

Very enjoyable stay. Spacious room. Bed was so comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Clean, modern and nice cool temperature. In a great location. Parking close by. Highly recommend

Lovey hotel within walking distance of the old town, the port and rail and bus stations. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Delicious varied continental breakfast with complimentary coffee daily. We definitely will be back to the Occidental Alicante.

All hot food at breakfast was cold.

The hotel and staff wer lovely the room was bit small for a weeks stay for 2 people. There was no room for to store clothes for 2 people. We got a upgrade to balcony which was a bonus.

This was a clean, well presented hotel. The only issue was that our room wasn’t ready 1.5 hours after 3 pm check in time.

Great location

The hotel has an excellent location in the centre of the town within walking distance of everything. The room was clean quiet and comfortable with huge twin beds. Staff were friendly and helpful, with straightforward check on and out processes. We slept really well!

Booked a weekend stay for myself, my daughter and niece Hotel room was lovely Beds very comfortable Staff very friendly and helpful Great facilities in the room No view from either window, which was the only disappoint. You could not tell what the weather was looking out either window - photo below Hotel is in a perfect location for tram, bus, walk to castle, marina, beach Would describe the hotel as a city centre hotel with limited hotel facilities - the room was perfect for our brief stay though

If you want to sleep before the nightclub closes at 4am across the street don’t book this hotel. The windows provide no sound proofing and the street is full of people going in and out of the nightclub till 4 am. It’s a nice hotel but the location lets it down. Thank goodness it was only an overnight stay. Worst Barcelo I have ever stayed in.

Excellent location. Good variety at breakfast but food that should be hot was cold

Room was very clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. But even for a city centre hotel the room and bathroom small and cramped for the price paid. Breakfast was very good, staff were pleasant

Excellent location within the tourist section of the city. Everything is a short walk away from the hotel. The pick of restaurants, tourist attractions and of course the beach. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff, easy check-in process (although the online check-in option before you arrive didn't work for me). Amazing breakfast options from cooked bacon, sausage and eggs, cooked vegetables mix which I haven't seen anywhere else. Cold meats, cheese, bread etc. Limitless coffee and tea from a single machine (so be prepared to queue). More pastries than you can possibly eat in a week of breakfasts. Excellent value for money. The room we had was unfortunately on the first floor, which means NO windows. At least not usable as it opens onto a vertical shaft that has all the air conditioning and heating ducts in it. No daylight. The room was a family room, so a decent size. Good sized bathroom with an excellent walk in shower. Plenty of towels, although paper thin. Plenty of USB sockets around the room for charging stuff, which was very welcome. Apart from the suitcase full of European adapters I had hauled all the way from home! The Occidental is equal to, if not slightly better than the chain hotels from Travelodge and Premier Inn we have here in the UK. Very clean and functional without cluttering up with too much character. Would happily stay here again, but if staying more than one night we would ensure a room with a usable window giving some daylight.

This hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the train station, the bus station, the Mercado, downtown shopping and the lovely sea-side walk. The area is active at night with locals & tourists - it feels safe. It is close to historic sites too.
