Good location to access by foot all tourists attractions including the beach. Old part of the city not necessarily with good restaurants around but groceries and convenient stores nearby.

The hotel was okay overall, but unfortunately I wouldn’t stay here again.
On the day of arrival we had to send multiple emails and messages just to get our entry codes. If we hadn’t kept hassling, I genuinely think we wouldn’t have received them at all — which would’ve left us with nowhere to stay that night since we arrived after reception closed. We even bumped into another guest who had this exact issue and couldn’t get into the hotel. The “emergency number” provided is just the hotel’s reception phone, which no one answered (we heard it ringing from inside).
Reception staff weren’t welcoming — they barely mumbled hello and weren’t helpful. We were only given two rolls of toilet paper for two people for a whole week (we had to ask for more), and just two towels. The “sea view” balcony was misleading; you only see the sea if you stand up, turn your head 90 degrees, and crane your neck.
On the plus side, the hotel was quiet so we slept well. The shower and air conditioning were great, and there’s an elevator which is handy for luggage. However, the sink drained so slowly it stayed filled with toothpaste and water, which was unpleasant.
Overall, the price felt a bit steep for what you get. The place wasn’t terrible, but it was slightly on the grotty side compared to cheaper hotels we’ve stayed in that were cleaner and nicer.

Port Plaza apartments are in a great location for the Port, the beach and the town. Check in was with a very helpful man who explained everything to us. The Aircon was good and the apartment was comfortable. We would return.

Wonderful helpful staff (we only dealt with one man and I'm sorry I missed his name so I could praise him here). He helped us book taxis, as Uber and other ride share companies not really reliable here. 10 minute walk under the train tracks, past the naval ship yard to the beach. Also close to the Tarragona train station. (Tarragona Camp train station is farther away and needs taxi or bus transfer).
We had a studio with kitchen. Wish there was salt and pepper and napkins or paper towels. Beach towels or a change of bath towels would've been appreciated, but we were only there 3 days. Grocery store around the corner.
We loved the Roman amphitheatre, but the forum (circus) and theatre are both closed and fenced off, so cannot be seen.
