Modern, boutique hotel. Spotless. Comfy beds. Amazing shower. Check in and out really easy. Smart tv. The only negative is not having a kettle to make coffee in your room (there is hot and cold water on the landing).

Parking was a challenge initially, but the staff will help you find a spot on the street or in a parking area a couple of blocks away

The staff is very kind. If I remember the staff’s name correctly, Antonio (or the staff who waited for me until midnight on Sept 29 due to lack of phone service) I truly appreciate your kindness and generosity in responding to my messages upon my arrival at the airport. I was truly worried when I connected to the WiFi and received the message of possible cancellation of my booking. I was traveling and exhausted with no energy to find another accommodation so late at night. Thank you for your support and for allowing me to leave my luggage downstairs until the morning. You’re sincerely appreciated. The hotel was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend!

The hotel overall is nice and the staff are friendly. I had a problem with my shower flooding, and someone helped me immediately with mopping up the water and fixing the problem the next day. Check-in was easy. When I checked out in the morning no one was at the desk, so I left the key inside the reception window and took a picture and sent it via WhatsApp for confirmation. The hotel is a 10-min walk from the Renfe C-2 line or about 5 minutes from the #20 bus line stop (which also conveniently goes to Malaga Central). There isn’t much in the area, but it’s about a 20-minute direct/easy walk to the FYCMA fairgrounds, if you’re going to an event (you can also take the #20 bus). My room was next to the stairs, and I will say it was quite noisy. The hotel only has steps and everything is tile or marble inside, so sound echoes. I was woken up every night for 4 nights by the main door and the room doors unlocking (once at 3 am) and people using the steps. Also, the hotel is in a residential area and there are several dogs that bark constantly at night and in the morning, which was annoying. When I made coffee early in the morning, it was really hard to be quiet in the hall and the water cooler is right outside a room. So if you’re sensitive to noise, you might have problems sleeping. If you have no noise sensitivities, this a convenient and nice place to stay with easy access to the city via bus or train.

Super nice place to stay. Great customer service. We would definitely choose this place again. The staff helped us with our luggage and offered us water. The space is a little tight if you have lots of luggage, but overall it was fantastic!

Stayed for one night as got a late flight. Just what we wanted. Check-in was easy and the lady was really helpful. Great welcome packed emailed and gone through. Would use again.

Great hotel, not sure why it’s a 2 star! Room was small but modern and immaculately clean. Staff are very helful, you get a detailed file sent to you to download when you arrive which gives you all the bus routes to where you want to go. Bus stop was a few minutes walk away, plenty of cafes nearby too. Would absolutely stay again.

Great room for a great price. Don't worry about the distance to the center - public transportation is quick and reliable. And check out Bar Juani down the block - great, and super cheap, tapas!

Very nice small hotel. Nicely remodeled. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Very quiet. Parking could be challenging but you are in Spain nothing new here. Only 10 minutes drive from the airport. Highly recommended.

I was very happy with my time at Stay Belonio in Malaga. It is a lovely hotel, the rooms are clean and well-decorated. The price was very reasonable. Isa, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for me, including booking the taxi to get me to the airport. I was impressed that as they don’t have a restaurant in the Hotel, Isa had a good list of restaurants to satisfy a variety of tastes in the vicinity. If I ever need to stay over in Malaga again, I will try to book into Stay Belonio.

Great stay! A fantastic place especially for the price. Room is exactly as advertised, great public transportation options and amazing service. Especially great for a quick overnight stay!

As a regular traveller I try to be fair and constructive in my reviews. I enjoyed my stay at Stay Belonio but with some disadvantages. First of all the property is in beautiful condition and the rooms are to a high standard with excellent cleaning with friendly helpful staff throughout. The room is however is small and if you are a couple it would be a struggle for space and storage. As the hotel has no dining options and the local area being well out of Malaga, not having a kettle in the room is a major negative. This is an easy fix as there is already a small fridge in the room so breakfasts would be easier to enjoy the lovely balcony. The hotel Is quite far out of the centre but the Number 20 bus usually running every 20 mins and takes you straight to the middle of the city in about 30 mins. From the airport an Uber is around 15 Euros. On the way back I got the number 20 bus then the train from Victoria Kent. You can buy a card for 1.9 Euros on the bus then it's only 4.2 Euros for a recharge for 10 x one hour trips. The local area is not particularly attractive as it sits on the edge of an Industrial estate but this didn't detract from my stay as the area was quiet. The biggest issue for me during the stay was noise especially between 11pm and 1am when other guests were returning back to the hotel. Generally apart from some I don't think other guests were being particularly loud but the noise between rooms and around the property transmitted a lot due to the thin walls.

Great location for a solo traveller with a car. I didn’t try the public transport options but there were lots of buses and connections to train. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely "apartel". The rooms are small but really well designed, gorgeous, and with a big beautiful balcony (at least our unit). The dining options and transportation is a bit limited but the charm, super friendly owner, and the proximity to the airport made more than up for it. Highly recomended!
