Urban Hostel Palma Albergue Juvenil

I booked 4 people room to have it quieter and it was indeed. The only downfall was the bathroom really. I was on first floor and out of two shower cabins, ones lock was broken so the other one was heavily used. Staff were very welcoming abd friendly. Bed was comfy and food was good enough. Located in walkable distance from centre too. I'd recommend it.

I liked the hostel

First time in a hostel and have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfier than expected, showers were better than some hotels I’ve stayed in, location to everything was brilliant. Place was kept clean and tidy, and everyone seemed to have respect for each other. A really enjoyable experience. Only downside was getting woken at 1am by reception staff with no explanation before allowing a new guest to come and stay in the dorm. But…. That’s hosteling for you I suppose.

Great place to stay and the breakfast is free. Please attend to the smelly toilets on the first floor. Room 12. I had to keep closing the bathroom / toilet door because the sewerage smell is terrible

I have to be honest some of the reviews I read were negative. But I had a good experience. Staff was helpful with getting a/c to work. I slept well. Room was quiet. All I can ask for.

Excellent staff. Especially Andrés, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Good rooms, only adjustments would be enforcing the common no noise and lights off after 2200. And more shower and bathroom facilities would make it perfect.

overall condition is great. nice and clean. BUT the bed and pillow are excruciating! the material is so badly chosen that they provide no support to your lower back nor neck. the worst sleep experience I've ever had after all those hostels stay. whoever decided to purchase needs to be sacked ASAP!

new property,already a lot broken,even a week later when i went back to it before flight..too many triple bunks crammed together..uncomfortable

too many beds crammed into the room..tripple bunks were impossible to get in and out of..taps not working in shower rooms...nothing to hang towels ect on in the shower rooms

Where to start? The only good thing was that most of the staff where friendly. Triple bunks which are more than unstable (makes you seasick when somebody is moving). The sink in the dorm has not a single time been cleand in a week, not possible to lock the bathroom and they are mixed gender. There's muld in the bathroom, the toilets aren't clean and it was the worst breakfast ever. Toast, margarine, diet jam and when your lucky you can get some sort of fresh cheese. Not enough seating spaces for breakfast either. Instant coffee and mostly no normal milk, soya and lactose free one available and some cornflakes . In the same building but next entrance is a child nursery for baby's and toddlers, I like kids but when you are on holiday and you get woke up permanently through the night through 14 other roommates and in the morning through 20 crying kids, your more than exhausted after a week! the vending machines aren't working either so you have to make sure that you always have drinks and snacks in the hostel. I also couldn't log in to the WIFI most of the time. Location is not bad though but I'd never stay there again and I clearly can't recommend it!

The hostel is a good value for money. I boooked 4 bed dorm but ended up having 5 people on it. Breakfast was alright but doent start till 9am, which is a normal time for them but unfortunately I missed 2 days cause had to leave at 8:30am. The reception wasnt too helpful, cause few questions I had they couldnt asnwer but once i google it found out about it.

Enjoyed it a lot, only missed furniture and/or hangers in the room. Recommend it for trip on a budget.

The hostel was clean and met our expectations and needs. The reception staff was friendly and welcoming. We recommend it to everyone in need of affordable accommodations within easy reach of the centre of Palma. Perhaps would have appreciated greater sinks in the shower rooms but that is a detail.

In summer, rooms are HOT, humid. NO fans, breeze, or AC. NOBODY in my room slept the entire stay! We sweated ALL night. The bunk beds are flimsy, unstable, and make a noise either climbing up the ladder or just moving slightly. It felt like the beds could break and crash to the floor at any time. Not enough power outlets, nowhere to place anything (shelves, hooks, nooks, etc.). Showers are NOT private or lockable: they are co-ed!! Nearly see-through curtains too. Nowhere to hang or put stuff in the toilets or any rooms -- like a simple hook or shelf to keep stuff off floor. You hear everything in the building. Rest of the place is very pretty. There's a nice computer desk, and kitchen and hang out area which are nice, but that's the best. The staff was VERY nice despite it all, a bit disorganized, but very kind. You may or may not get a locker in your room, or someone might already be using it. Far too $$ for the quality, but OK if you're stuck and it's NOT summertime (or you like sleeping in your own sweat).
