Ahu Bay

Amazing hotel! Would highly recommend to anyone. Such a boutique private feel with a stunning setting right on the beach. The food at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was such high quality and some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are so stunning and clean, and have everything you need. The service is also incredible from the moment you get there to the moment you leave. Would definitely go back and recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone!

We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen!

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed in an exquisite villa with the beach at right outside our doors. The enjoy the sunsets from our bed was truly spectacular. A lovely and welcoming staff who catered to our every need. The food was good - but I prefer the menu at their sister property, Kayaam House. But Ahu Bay has THE BEST coconut toffee! Thank you to wonderful staff who were so kind and helpful, especially Nilanga and Kasum.

Great staff, terrific food, only negative is that there are tour operators on the grounds that try to undercut the resort by offering cheaper tours. Fairly relentless and a bit nasty if you turn them down

Nice hotel, but feels a little unfinished. The food was great, as well as service. The bay is pretty but the beach is small and waves are too strong for swimming most of the time. The suite with a pool doesn't feel as private as I imagined looking at the pictures. The pool is visible from the public beach and the rooms upstairs.

Amazing the staff were friendly

Our stay was more than amazing. The hotel is located wonderfully, directly at the beach with amazing views. The food and cocktails were delicious and the prices for the food and drinks were fair. What made our stay really memorable is the amazing staff of the hotel. Every single employee was so friendly and attentive, i have never experienced service like that. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so wonderful.

Amazing stay staff go above and beyond expectations.

Ahu Bay is absolutely amazing. It is like true paradise. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and they are so kind and helpful! The food is absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious and surprised us every time. The pool, beach, and rooms are beautiful! The location is great, right on the beach and close to many attractions by Tuk tuk or scooter! Overall Ahu bay is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed and I recommend 5000x to anyone!

Wir hatten einen rundum wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Das Personal war jederzeit unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich – man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Das Essen war durchweg hervorragend, ganz besonders das Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offenließ und ein echtes Highlight für uns war. Unser Zimmer war immer sehr sauber, super gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch das Bad war ausreichend groß und modern gestaltet, sodass man sich rundum wohlfühlen konnte. Der Poolbereich sowie die Außenanlagen waren stets sauber und gepflegt. Ein großes Lob auch an die hoteleigenen Bademeister, die genauso aufmerksam und professionell waren wie der Rest der Belegschaft. Der Strand wurde täglich sauber gehalten und trug zusätzlich zu diesem perfekten Urlaubsgefühl bei. Insgesamt war es für uns ein Traumaufenthalt, den wir jederzeit wiederholen würden. Absolute Empfehlung!

We had the best experience at Ahu Bay. We felt very welcome from the first minute we entered the hotel area. This exclusive resort is really heaven on earth! From the service over the culinary experience, this is a resort a lot of hotels in the works could learn a lot from! The service & exclusivity are from another planet and the culinary experience was one of the best I ever had!
