FOX Resorts Kandy

The property and staff were all amazing. The breakfast and dinner was good. Getting a ride via pick me can take some time as not all drivers want to come up the hill. Make sure you a lot enough time for travel. We were going to be late for our train because a PickMe driver canceled. But the hotel made some calls and arranged for a quick Tuk Tuk ride and we made it right in time.

The best hotel so far we stayed in srilanka , very professional and very hospitable people , we loved our stay and we will definitely come back ❤️ thank you fox hotels for everything we love you

Stunning views from this mountainside property but is a long and winding drive to get there although this only takes around 15 mins from Kandy town. The rooms are in small blocks of 4 and set apart. Lovely buffet restaurant.

We had a suite which was great. Strange to have a dining table instead of proper seating area. If this was changed it would have been even greater. Dinner was OK but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was better. Dining area felt a bit like a school dinner hall. The staff were very helpful. Can get a bit noisy when the wind blows from the east. Rattles the large glass doors. Apart from that we would come back. The pool is good but loungers are limited. Gets busy about 4pm.

Second time staying. Continue to be impressed.

Fox resort property is an amazing find, its placed on the top of the mountain and views are amazing. I booked a suite and it has so much space for family and amazing views. Would recommend to book a suite. Staff is very helpful, courteous and also smiling. Restaurant has amazing room service. I highly recommend this resort if you are in Kandy.

Very nice hotel challenging access road but a very pleasant hotel to be at. Staff is very good. Not so easy for people who are less mobile, e.g. no elevator to the restaurant or rooms.

Lovely hotel sat overlooking Kandy and a sanctuary away from the business of elsewhere. As per other reviews, the road up is quite steep and winding but all of the drivers we had were very careful - use the Pick me app (Sri Lankan Uber) and it will cost about £1.50 in a tuk tuk and £2.50 in a taxi We found the staff to be exceptional - from the very moment you arrive in reception the whole team make you feel so welcome …special mentions to Gobi who was super helpful and Oliver and Olivia who give fantastic massages in the spa. Food in the restaurant was a good standard and reasonably priced, but whether it is there, your room or the infinity pool, this place is all about those beautiful views

Although our first night was spoiled because our room was booked next to a married family and friends whom talked/laughed and were very loud and obnoxious between 3:30am until 8am despite staff asking them to keep it quiet in the early hours. However, as soon as staff became aware of the problem they jumped on it and tried their best to help us. The manager apologized and was very kind and friendly. Also they brought us breakfast in-room so we could sleep in due to loss of hours. Also because we missed dinner as we came back after midnight after our outing, the manager arranged for us to have sandwiches and fruit, coffee and juice waiting for us in the room. On our last day because we were checking out early, they packed us breakfast for our journey out. Views are beautiful from the room. It takes about 20-25 minutes by car from town to the hotel through windy but beautiful local mountain road. Got some great sunrise photos. Everything we ate was delicious. Thank you Fox Resorts!

Awesome view, absolutely beautiful. But limited transportation, hard to drive to the location.

Lovely stay with good amenities. Staff were lovely and the views from the location are unmatched. A little far out of town however

Problem is transportation

Very nice hotel, although can be very windy at the top of the hill. Excellent service, very friendly. Rooms cosy, not spacious. Breakfast good, buffet dinner not great

The staff were so kind and could not do enough for us. A lovely welcome drink of fresh juice. Amazing views from the dining room and pool area. Buffet breakfast was substantial and international. If you are driving, the hotel is at the top of a hill and the roads are challenging. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The property was beautiful. We had the suite which was extremely spacious and really well appointed. The infinity pool was very nice and relaxing. The food was really good as well. The staff very attentive. I think the only drawback to the hotel is that although the view beautiful at the top of the mountain, it is quite difficult and takes time to get up there so it is not convenient if you want to go back and forth from the city below. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.
