This is the perfect place to stay if you’re climbing Adams peak. The hotel is very comfortable with good food and service. The pool was great to revive the tired legs after the walk up the hill. Great breakfast on the outdoor terrace after our climb. Wifi only works in the lobby but there are comfortable lounges there to relax on.

The woman in the reception was very helpful. Had a lot of questions at arrival and next morning she organised a taxi for 4 tourists to Galle, instead of having to use a whole day by bus and train.

What a great experience. They lent us rain jackets as we did not have enough warm cloths for walk to Adams Peak. They did not charge us for this. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Great experience

Nice hotel and good value for you money so close to Adam’s Peak. Food was decent, but didn’t find much better choices around. Pool was ok, but don’t go for the “sauna/jacuzzi”

Stayed at Grand Adam’s for two nights. The room we were given was in the middle of the hotel with no external windows, it had two beds and an ensuite that was a wet room. Upon entering our room I noted a damp smell but assumed it was because there are no windows that can be opened for air - there was a window into the thoroughfare area of the hotel but it didn’t open, only way to get fresh air was to leave the door open. The bathroom door didn’t close and there were various rules about using the toilet and shower. On the first night the damp smell was awful, we assumed it was the bathroom as the door didn’t close properly. After we completed the hike and returned to our room we noticed the smell was even worse but we were so tired we had to sleep. We spoke to the woman in charge and asked if we could have another room for our second night. She wasn’t aware that we were staying another night despite our booking. She said she would see if there were other rooms and get back to us. The pool wasn’t sealed properly and very slippery, the spa was stacked with junk. The smell in the room was so disgusting that night we had to demand to move (woman never got back to us) - the smell was actually the wall behind the bed and bed base that was rotting - I suspect a damaged sewage pipe from the smell. Had a horrible experience at this hotel, staff were unhelpful, and the food was ridiculously expensive and took way too long to make. Stay somewhere else.

only spent one night prior to the trip up Adams Peak. the facilities are ok but nothing to write home about - a bit of construction going on at the time of our return to the hotel following the "walk" - if it had been that noisy and i'd been waking up i'm sure i would have been annoyed. food was a fair let down despite them having some not so sri lankan prices! the brekkie for the "walk" was very disappointing specifically when you'd been completing a hard slog for the past 3 hours!

I was disappointed they did not tell us until we arrived that there were 7 beds to a room, this meant that we could have just had one room rather than 2. Then they told us they would rent it out because there were many guest looking for rooms. It was not until the next morning they told us they could not rent it so we had to pay for 2 rooms when we only used one.

Seemingly a scam operated by two sisters operating two hotels. The one we chose had reasonably good reviews, and we noted that another one (Daddy's Guest House) had bad reviews. We had a confirmed Expedia reservation at the Grand Adam's Peak Hotel (GAPH) for which Expedia took a payment. However on arrival, we were told that our booking was not at the GAPH, but at the owner's sisters hotel, which turned out to be Daddy's Guest House - this was an awful place with two damp and dirty rooms overlooking a building site (power tools in use until 8.30 pm, and then only stopping because we confronted the owner of the next door building works) and a rubbish tip. To cap it all, the sister of the owner of GAPH actually charged us a cash amount, although we had already paid her sister in advance via Expedia. We are currently trying to reclaim the Expedia payment - the GAPH owner agreed to refund us, but we await confirmation of payment.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to go to Adams peak (5 min from where the walk begins). But that's just about the only positive thing. The WiFi didn't work at all. The service from the staff is terrible. The rooms (where parts of the window is impossible the close) are located against a street so you can hear the cars with their horns all night. The water pressure from the shower is low. Would not recommend the hotel.

Say here id´f you want to stay close to the where the climb for Adam's Peak begins. Other than that, there is not much to do here, and the food is and not that good and rather tasteless. Furthermore, our room didn't match the description in the booking. Lastly do not expect the WIFI to work, even though the are more than one connection. However the location is ideal for Adam's Peak and some of the rooms have a nice view.
