Stay was very good. Ideal place for people who enjoy serenity.

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting away from everything. Was here 20 years ago and it's still charming, but a bit tired around the edges. Could be such a gem with some investment.

Excellent location. Amazing fruit bats, water monitors, kingfishers & other birds. Staff are wonderful. Buffet food for breakfast & dinner with a wide choice.

It should be maintained well. Cleanliness is nill and food is not nice and quality too. Ordered a burger on A la carte and the burger bun was just a ball of flour. French fries were over cooked. Salt & Pepper holdings were so dirty. Stayed hungry at that night and as there were no any restaurants close by. Had cockroaches in bathroom and bedroom.Gully was full of rustic. Was a horrible stay. Never recommend for any.

No acceptable plug-ins for our phones. No adapters available at the reception. Had the farthest room from the center. Hot water only available after mid-day due to solar heating. Meal hours very limited.

Lovely and spacious room but some path construction made it a bit confusing getting to it. Breakfast started at 7:30am which made it difficult for us to get an early start on our bikes. Given the heat, it made it difficult to complete our scheduled arrival 90 km north. We asked if we could start breakfast early but they did not allow this. So I would recommend this place for people needing an early start on the day. The food was delicious though! I loved the Sri Lankan dishes they served. There was a school group there, from Colombo, that took over the beautiful pool for quite a while. The staff was helpful at getting us to a bike repair shop in town. So the staff was extremely kind to us during our stay.

Getting into hotel is awesome! Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Wifi works only in lobby and is very terrible :( Food is just ok. Overall nice experience, but pictures looks waaaay better than reality.

Dated hotel that caters more for local day trippers than to foreign tourists. Quite isolated and expensive to eat at.

Location and privacy great. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Towels had old stains.Pool deck needed repairs. Buffet was ok, selection was not good. It needs to be changed daily. The barbecue was overcooked. Nightly music was awful needs to be up lifting. There was only one band of trio that was good. Would stay again due to the private location. Hotel needs to enforce swim wear at pool. People should not be able to wear street clothes.

I liked the resort and its freindly staff,but very sad is all that garbage and plasicbottles in the mangroves and even on the resorts beach. Therefore i cant recommend the place.

We only stayed for one night All was v good only adverse comments would be lack of WiFi in rooms and poor fruit choice for breakfast - given the local fruit that would have been available

EXCELLENT LOCATION :) FRIENDLY STAFF, FOOD WAS DELICIOUS......

This hotel is situated 45 mins from airport, hotel can arrange transfer for $30. Hotel is lovely, reached via a raft over the lake, which is very peaceful and a unique way to reach a hotel. Hotel is situated on the beach and the rooms are well appointed with good air con and very comfortable beds. However the service at this hotel is appalling, firstly we went for lunch at the restaurant where one of our group was brought a beer glass full of sand. Then when we went for our evening meal we asked to order off the menu rather than having the buffet which looked like a battle of who could get their food first. 20 mins after ordering we were told the steaks we ordered were not available as they were frozen and needed to be thawed - we were surprised they freeze their steak in the first place. We then changed our orders to the mixed grill which took a further hour to arrive, when the food came an hour and 20 mins later, it was all over cooked and not edible. We asked for a refund on the food as we were not happy to pay and didn’t eat it but the duty manager said a refund could not be offered. After a lengthy discussion with him and a phone call to his boss, he finally agreed to refund of 50% on the food bill. The only person who has any customer service skills at this hotel is a young man who was working on the check in desk, who was very helpful and understanding of the situation. There is no where else to eat around this hotel - all prices are in £ or € on menu.

Best eco friendly hotel. Peaceful and relaxing place.

It started with a nice experience going by a ferry to the hotel premises. There was no one on arrival however reached the reception check in was okay. We have not been informed about the dinner closing time since we arrived at 9.15pm and only once in the room being told dinner closes at 9.30pm. So we rushed just to be told donner is over (even 2 guest were still eating. We asked if we could at least get a sandwich or something since we just arrived and are on half board. The supervisor said yes and we were asked to seat in the lounge. Room was nice (Deluxe Bungalow) and so was the location. There is a actually nice beach on the left. Service in general was omay. Some one or two waiters were friendly and also the housekeeping was very friendly. Food in the restaurant was poor. Live station was rather "dirty" and the whole had this run down impression. Maybe its their Eco Concept and given the fact that its straight on the sea makes it difficult to maintain with the sea water wind. At the check out we noticed that the first night sandwich was charged (they charge u all in Euro and then exchange it into LKR) so I said how comes since we had half board paid it would have been a normal thing to at least give us this as we have not been informed aboit the closing time of buffet upon arrival else we could have gone first for dinner and then do the check in. Overall a so so experince.
