Beautiful boutique hotel with an amazing view.

Excellent service and a great staff. Food was excellent. Good location overlooking lake gregory.

We opted for a lake view room. The view was wonderful and the staff were welcoming, accomodating and absolutely amazing. We would have no hesitation to return to this beautiful hotel overlooking the lake.

Small and cozy boutique hotel with 6 rooms. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and made the stay an absolute delight. The lake view rooms are also amazing - the ones on the ground floor especially so as they have access to a little garden that was a great place to relax in the evening. Would wholeheartedly recommend this to any traveler. The only nit was that food took a really long time - they asked for a 1 hour heads up - but they were upfront about it and we were able to plan accordingly.

Wonderful stay, the entire staff was so attentive and helpful. They helped us setup transfers and taxis and made sure our every need was met during our stay.

My stay at the Serenus Boutique Villa was delightful. The combination of exceptional service and beautiful views made it a memorable experience. I recommend this Villa to anyone looking for a relaxing and pampered getaway. Accommodations I stayed in one of the triple rooms, 2 kind size beds – great for a small family. The room was spacious, clean, and offered breathtaking views of Gregory lake-a private balcony. The king-sized bed, and blackout curtains ensured a restful night's sleep. We heard some music in the night from the town itself but it did not disturbed my sleep. The room has modern furnishings and the amenities included an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV with a wide range of channels. Service The staff at Serenus Boutique Villa were exceptional. They were courteous, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the efficient room service and helpful concierge, the entire team was top-notch. Dining I dined at the Serenus Boutique Villa for breakfast and dinner. You have to order your meals ahead of time - the meals we had were extremely delicious, clean, made with fresh ingredients but mostly you can feel the care they were made with. A big kudos to the chef – thanks for accommodating a vegan menu. Located at the edge of Gregory Lake, the view is one of the best. You do have to drive up a steep hill (not too far though) to get to the Villa.

Nice place with a beautiful view from the lake

We really enjoyed our stay here whilst making a short stop in Nuwara Eliya. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean, and the views over the lake were wonderful. A big thank you to the staff who were very friendly and welcoming, and added to our stay being such an enjoyable one.

Walkable to Gregory Lake which unfortunately was noisy, dirty, full of rubbish, have to pay an entrance fee just to walk around which takes less than an hour. Nothing else to do in the immediate area. Hotel high up in the hill, so no passing taxi/tuk tuks and not ideal for walking after dark, poorly lit area. Hotel took 2.5 hours to serve a dinner after 3 attempts at asking where it was, finally arrived, potato curry was three bits of potato in an inedible watery, incredibly salty sauce. We ordered vegetable rice and noodles as vegetarians - both arrived with chicken in. Manager very apologetic but did nothing to rectify the situation. Would not recommend hotel at all, much better options for the same price or less in the area and there is very little to do near the hotel. Better to stay closer to town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Serenus Boutique Villa. The staff was over-the-top in how accommodating and attentive they were. They helped arrange transportation to Horton Plains and also to our next destination. They even packed us a lunch for our outing. The hotel was spotless and well cared for, and the breakfast was great. And the lake view was nice. It is a little way out of town but close enough to walk or get a $2 tuk tuk ride.

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely view from balcony and staff were superb. We’re we’re greeted by Lacshan who was very accommodating and professional. He made us feel welcome, and organised for porters to take our bags and nothing was too much trouble Our evening meal was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. All the food was freshly prepared and superbly cooked food. Hats off to Pasindu in the kitchen. Would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel!

This boutique hotel was a great find across the lake. It was clean and seemed new. The staff was very helpful and well-trained. They helped me figure out my train schedule. Loved the rustic vibe of my room although it didn’t have the lake view like other rooms. However, there is an access to the garden area facing the lake on the same floor. Breakfast pancake was delicious.

Excellent location and superb hospitality. Highly recommend.
