SURF N SPICE

I must be honest at first I was a bit sceptical about staying in this place. The pictures just didn’t make me feel like it would be a place I want to stay at. So I booked just a few days and then I ended up extending my stay and I stayed here for two weeks I absolutely loved it. The guys that work here were always so attentive and anything I needed or wanted just to make my stay more comfortable. They would always try to get for me. I am so grateful for everyone who works here. I felt safe. I felt taken care of. I will definitely be back. I miss it here every day.

Clean room, great food, amazing friendly and helpful staff!

I loved everything about this place- quiet, a short pleasant walk to town center, incredible breakfast and cafe vibes (and music!), electricity was better here than in other places I've stayed, AC worked well, nice patio, big bed and bathroom. As a solo female traveler I felt safe. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, arrange rides, etc. BOHOMA STUTHI!!!

Surf n Spice feels like you’re visiting a family holiday home. The rooms are airy and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are helpful and make sure your every need is met. The cafe at the front of the property has the best brekky ever.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Surf N Spice, the guys who run the place are amazing. They made our trip so easy and relaxing. Huge comfy room with excellent aircon and a nice balcony to sit and relax on. The breakfast they serve as incredible, best we have had in 6 months travelling. It's exciting that they are constantly developing and improving the property including a new cafe which was nearly finished when we left and looked great. Lots to do in the area including 2 different beaches within easy walking distance, one very big and relaxed, the other great for surfing and a busier vibe. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk and a few minutes further you can walk to the main town with shops, ATM, etc. Overall a fantastic stay, we highly recommend Surf N Spice.

Rummet var bra. Air-conditioning funkade superbra. Personalen var super gulliga och hjälpsamma. Fantastisk frukost med gott kaffe. Även resten av meny var bra. Köpte med min kaffebönor från dem. Happy hour på cocktails 50% inte köp 2 get 1.

Super nice room, noice was not a problem. Staff was amazing, my girlfriend was sick and they sent a guy who spent an hour finding a thermometer. Value for money 10/10 - staff 10/10

One of the noisiest hotels we have ever stayed at. Music playing till well past midnight, dogs barking all night, the staff was sitting outside our room talking and playing videos on their phone very late. Construction of a new hotel just next to us which started work at 07:00, the staff was also brushing and cleaning outside from very early hours, and the room has no soundproofing, it was getting comical just how much noice could come from one place at one point. Have never slept so bad in a hotel before as we did these two nights. Room looks nothing like the pictures and is much more worn and torn. Super friendly staff and good food! Also great location! AC worked great.

I had an absolutely wonderful three-night stay at Surf n Spice in Hiriketiya. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top notch—every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. One of the things I loved most is that the hotel is locally owned and run by a group of friends. Supporting local businesses is important to me, and you can truly feel the care and passion they put into the place. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities you need for a relaxing stay, including a comfy bed, air conditioning, and warm water in the shower. Simple, clean, and exactly what you need after a day at the beach. The food was excellent throughout my stay, with the grilled butter fish being a standout—absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Breakfast was also a highlight: each morning you can choose an item from the brunch menu, and the options were fantastic. I tried three different dishes over my stay, and every single one was great. A special mention goes to the hotel’s two adopted dogs, Surf and Spice—they were incredibly adorable, friendly, and added so much charm to the stay. The location is perfect—peaceful and calm, yet ideally situated between Dikwella Beach and Hiriketiya Beach, making it easy to enjoy both. Overall, I’m very happy I chose Surf n Spice and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others.

El desayuno es increíble, el mejor del viaje sin duda, te dejan elegir entre varios platos de la carta y te lo hacen al momento, el lugar es tranquilo y con buen ambiente.

Amazing stay. So close to two beautiful beaches, lots of restaurants nearby and a very chill vibe. The hotel had a great breakfast included, so fresh. Great WiFi and air conditioning on the room. Lots of monkeys outside that you can see from your window.

Everything was perfect. Awesome selfmade breakfast, kind & friendly people, only a little walk to the beaches.

Es un sitio tranquilo cerca de todo y un desayuno increíble. Estuvimos hace 7 años en la misma zona y todo a cambiado mucho pero este hotel sigue manteniendo la esencia y el desayuno de hace 7 años. Es muy recomendable ya que está cerca de la playa de hiriketiya la cual a cambiado mucho y está cerca de la playa de Dickwella que sigue manteniendo la esencia de antes

Jättebra boende, bra pris och väldigt bra service! Väldigt hjälpsamma om man behöver hjälp med taxi eller frågor om området, samt väldigt god frukost som ingår på morgonen med många goda alternativ! Rekommenderar!!!
