This was a great little place. It is away from transport links so it is better for something who is driving. Appreciated the heated bathroom floor. Tiles can be cold. Be very sure you have the codes for the door and your room before you arrive.

Our second visit to this studio hotel building. Hotel is located in quiet residential suburb of Solna, a short distance from downtown. 15 minute walk to the metro. Check in was convenient using passcodes received by email prior to our arrival. This was our second stay at Asplund and once again a wonderful experience. Our room was clean. Kitchen facilities were perfect for our short stay. Bathroom was clean and shower was really nice. Parking was right outside the front door and it was free. Breakfast was excellent and staff was helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the local restaurant options around the neighborhood, especially the sushi at Sushi Bar Taiyoo. Laundry facilities are available. We enjoy the extra room and convenience of a kitchen and sitting area all at a very reasonable price. So long as you do not need room service and wake up calls this is a great choice. Local restaurants require a little walking or the use of a car, but the adjoining park and the gym in the basement add up to a very comfortable stay. Would return again, actually we have!

A bit out of the way, and somewhat difficult to find; but very interesting place. Use the sink before the shower. Bathroom and Shower floor are the same, so water doesn't stay in the shower "enclosure" and seeps out to the sink area.

If you are looking for a quiet, pleasant studio in Stockholm this is perfect. Parking is super convenient and free. Checkin is via passcode to the building and then to your room. Building is located in suburban residential community with a comfortable 10 minute walk to the metro station and another 10 minutes to downtown. The building itself is a former research facility from the 30's that has been nicely updated, but still retains interesting elements from it's former use. The elevator was difficult to understand, but the staff was very helpful. Free laundry requires a little scheduling as the building is primarily used by multi week renters. Breakfast was enjoyable and quite adequate. There is a gym in the basement. Bed and bath were clean and very comfortable. Overall an awesome stay in Stockholm.

Although on arrival my initial confidence in this choice of place to stay was mildly shaken when I found the previous guest’s stubble in the sink and unfortunately a less than sparking toilet, the check in procedure was very straightforward, the flat was amazingly peaceful and the building architecture and history fascinating.

The way this hotel operates is basically hands off. The rooms are nice but not anything special. You are on your own. No cleaning services, no fresh towels, on one in the office at the hotel. The restaurant is sporadically open although I have been told it is very good. In my room the microwave didn't work and lighting control is touch if one wants to sleep and the other wants to watch tv. You are expected to empty the trash and wash the dishes upon leaving or face a fee. The only reason I stay there is that it is extremely close to my daughters home.

We enjoyed our stay at Asplund. Access arrangements to the block and room were clear and straightforward to follow. It was a couple of minutes’ walk to the metro station - and then from there only a couple of stops to the centre of town. There are a few convenience stores nearby for supplies and basic essentials – as well as a nice few restaurants. The breakfast in the restaurant were lovely. Had great communications with the staff there during our stay. The room was nice, clean, minimalist but also catered for all our needs and had everything as advertised. The block was very quiet, the communal washing facilities were very easy to use, and the coffee machine in the lobby area was a nice touch.

Lovely apartment in an interesting building. It’s a little way out of town but less than a10 min walk to tram and only a few stops to the centre of Stockholm There’s are few shops and restaurants around but we didn’t try any of them preferring instead to use the apartments well appointed kitchen

Unusual place - was the National Bacteriological Laboratory - they seemed to have cleaned it since. No obvious staff - you let yourself in with a pin code. Single room/studio apartment is small but clean and contains everything you need from hair drier to microwave. Location not great - in Solna but about 40 minutes walk from the Friend Stadium and Telia offices.

We stayed for 4 nights starting from Wednesday the 23rd. and we were supposed to have reserved a room with breakfast included. Thursday mornig we couldn´t get up on time because we were to tyred, Friday we had an outstanding breakfast and Saturday as we arrived to the breakfast room, it was closet. At that moment we realised that there is no breakfast on Saturday and Sundays. When I made the reservation I never read anywhere that breakfast included was only from Monday to friday. If I had known that before I would never have booked that hotel because breakfast included I one of the things I always look for in hotels. Also the problem is that this hotel is far from everything and you have to walk a lot even to buy bread or take the Metro. The moment when we could talk with somebody from the hotel they checked our reservation and confirmed us that they charched us only to days of breakfast.

Although they advertise no reception services, which is fair enough, there were still people working there that were courteously able and willing to help. It is a bit difficult to get to and from if you have no car, in terms of walking to public transport, as it is out in the burbs. However the room (studio) for one was clean and well appointed, light and airy with high celings (designed by Gunnar for chemical experiments as they were back in the day). The lift being under repair was also a pest if you are up 2 floors, but the groceries you just lugged up can be prepared into a good meal, to avoid the outrageous Swedish prices for everything (including the groceries), in the kitchenette. It has a certain Swedish grace but was reasonably priced, as a result of the drawbacks noted earlier no doubt.

Nice apartment, well designed and equipped Only 15 minutes from central Stockholm by car Great laundry facilities which was a bonus We had breakfast in our flat so can't rate the restaurant One downside was our flat was right over the restaurant loading area and Monday morning deliveries started at 5am which was extremrly loud even with ear plugs, ask for a unit on the other side

The studio I stayed in was comfortable and I had everything I needed. The downside of this stay was the distance to walk down a very slippery road to the nearest bus stop or tube station. I had the bad luck to end up here during some very bad winter weather. I think the staff should have taken care of the ground better at least outside the hotel entrance. I feel lucky not breaking some bones because of the slippery conditions. I also feel it was very dark outside the entrance. Some more lights would be good. This place has no hotel reception or staff on site regularly, which can be a disadvantage. Some staff were in though now and then but the odd thing is you were never greeted with a hello, which I find a bit odd. I loved my room and everything in it, but personally I don't think I will go back. It felt a bit isolated which is a shame. I also prefer staff on site.
