Room are a little small for American standards, and there is no fan. But that is pretty standard for hotels in this region. The windows do open though! The bed is comfortable. The rooms are clean. Management is friendly. The free breakfest is good. There is a light rail stop about 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel, and the shopping center next door has a supermarket with affordable prices. There is also an alcohol store, and the hotel has a resturant attached. The local police also monitor the square daily by car and on foot patrol so it a pretty safe place to stay. I would stay here again. Do note that the hotel room does not come with a fridge or way to heat up food, so you will have to eat out alot or eat precooked meals. Which you can do quite easily with so many shops and resturants bring in walking distance.

Clean room. Reception hours not as stated . When we arrived at the hotel at 1730 no one at reception and front door locked. I had not received any information about the booking in process. A resident came to our aid and suggested checking my messages and I found a message sent at 1740 that night explaining how to access the key locker to get the keys for our room and the access code to the external doors. Breakfast was buffet style and no staff to ask for special requests eg decaf coffee. Room cosy and clean towels changed as required. No restaurant but plenty options nearby or to order in. Super location for our trip. I would definitely use again but suggest better communication from the hotel when catering for new guests that are unfamiliar with you check in process.

Do not go there unless you really have to. Smallest room I ever had in a European hotel. Innacessible by car (paid parking several hundred yards away). In addition to that that the staff was not really nice (spoke over the phone for a long time when we arrived in front of him). The room we got was ground floor with the obligation to keep the curtain closed as it is a sketchy neighborhood and people kept looking at us by the window. Breakfeast was ok but nothing special. Room was clean

The room was very small, no desk and no chairs. There was a deck outside our window where the smokers went, we had to keep the windows closed to keep the smoke from drifting into the room. The breakfast was mediocre. On the bright side the bathroom was comfortable and the shower excellent.

I stayed 3 nights for a friend's Wedding, a perfect location. The staff were all welcoming and very helpful, Receptionist on Saturday dealt with a lot of requests and the Night Manager too! Breakfast is wonderful, very generous top marks! It would be good for guests to be greeted and, the breakfast explained. It would help to know the time the Kitchen closes in the evening - I went down on Sunday at 21:10 but the Kitchen was closed it says the Restaurant closes at 22:00. In would help to know what the information card in the bathroom. The Bed was extremely comfortable rooms are bijou. Bathroom is wonderful but bigger towels please! Great for Akersberga to have a hotel and the Restuarant too!

Lovely quirky hotel with modern clean rooms with everything you need albeit rooms are small. We had adjoining rooms with our young children and were very comfortable. Nice breakfast and tea/coffee lounge facilities. Very nice shopping centre next door but not much else in the area. Regular trains to Stockholm centre only 2 mins walk away but journey 30-40mins - would choose somewhere closer if we returned.

The Public Best Western is the only hotel in the area. We were visiting family. We were warned that the rooms were small so paid double and booked the suite. The suite was so small we were falling over each other trying to get ready for an important family event. I am not sure how big the other rooms were but if we went again I wouldn't waste money on the suite as didn't provide sufficient space anyway. Although the sheets looked clean, there were hairs on the bed and only one set of bath robes and towels. There were also a few hairs in the bathroom on the floor. A cleaning cloth was left behind the curtain. We informed the receptionist straight away upon arrival but no extra towels arrived. We informed them again first thing in the morning as we needed to shower and get ready. It was then sorted out straight away. Breakfast in the pub next door was really nice. Not a single staff member spoke to us to check our room number, greet us or inform us about the breakfast. The staff hide out the back in the kitchen. There was sparkling water in the room but it has a top that requires a beer bottle opener. We had to go next door again to reception who found a bottle opener. The hotel had a little coffee area on the ground floor which was available all the time. However, in the evenings it was full of people watching sport and shouting so not very relaxing. The pub serves very nice food in the evening. Overall OK, but disappointing lack of service and space.

The hotel is fantastic. The warm welcome I received made me feel great. I so wish this hotel was in the center of Stockholm, it would become my place of choice. The room was small, but very comfortable. Great coffee area with free gourmet coffee. People in Åkersberga are very friendly, especially the staff at this hotel. The breakfast had a great selection even for those of us that want low-cal and low-fat alternatives.

The rooms are pretty modern looking, but they are very small. A/C also does not work very well when it's warm outside, but I think this is common for hotels in Sweden. There is a pretty decent restaurant in the same area as the front reception counter, also next to a small mall.

Stayed at this hotel because it was close to where our friends live. The greeting was good and we liked the bar as it was quite unusual however when we got to our room we couldn't believe how small it was. We couldn't walk past each other without moving out of the way. There is hardly any hanging space and no drawers for clothes. We had to move a small stool to put our suitcases on the floor and leave our clothes in it. Fortunately we had to change hotels so checked out the next morning but we couldn't wait to get out if there! Generally the staff were pleasant apart from when my husband tried to order a glass of wine at last orders and the barman was very rude and then the staff were putting chairs on the tables next to us to try and get us out of the bar even though we were residents in the hotel. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
