Best Western Plus Hotel Baltic

The hotel has a well equipped gym and a sauna and an amazing breakfast, really very yummy. There were a lot of GF options but unfortunately they were stale as had been left out a bit too long - GF very quickly softens or becomes stale so it can be tricky, but I really did appreciate that there were options with a GF dedicated toaster. All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a little bit small if you have a lot of luggage, but for us it was fine. Within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. You can park outside the hotel but only for 3 hours. There is a much better car park just across the road and to the left. We would definitely stay here again.

I really like this hotel. I have stayed there a half a dozen times. Good location. Very clean. Quirky layout because the building is over 100 years old but I like the rooms, the apartment rooms are spacious, the views of the bay are beautiful. The breakfast is excellent, great healthy choices. Normally there is public parking in front of the hotel.

I stayed to break a long car journey into two parts. One good thing about the location is that there are EV chargers just in front of the hotel. The room was very basic, but it provided all what is needed (small desk to work at, kettle and mugs, ...). Overall the room and bathroom were clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfy. I noticed only one broken thing: the mechanism to prevent the window to fully open. Overall, I had a good relaxing night. In addition, I used the gym to exercise after sitting the whole day. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the equipment: while a bit old, it is the same brands that one finds in professional gyms (not the cheap stuff one buys for home use). I had a really good workout. There is also a small sauna. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice: veggies, fruits, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, warm food, rolls, cake, dairy, jams, really something for everyone. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very centrally located and on-site public parking is available right in front of the hotel (incl. 4 overnight electric car charging spots). Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. It made a very cosy impression as it featured a huge tiled stove that must have been used once upon a time to heat the room. In general, the hotel has a very nice atmosphere because of it's old age. Still everything is up to current standards. The maybe only downside was the lack of surfaces in the bathroom to place toiletries and cosmetics. We had a relaxing night in the comfortable bed. The breakfast was pretty good. Quite good choices of food: cereals, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, warm sausages and meatballs, scrambled egg, jams, fruits. Coffee was very good. Also they provided a good choice of gluten and lactose free products. The maybe only improvement could be the choice of veggies: tomatoes, cucumber and bell pepper. It would be nice to add some salads or other in season veggies.

The hotel staff were friendly, the room was fabulously spacious and comfortable. Great location within easy walking distance of great restaurants and bars. Disabled access was a little awkward as the entrance was along a long windy corridor with some tight turns but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Breakfast was superb. We loved it. The gym could do with a revamp as it is a little tired and the machines are old.

The receptionist that greeted us was really genuinely pleased to welcome us. The hotel is quirky in a very nice way. The room was comfortable and clean. Good bathroom. We had dinner at the hotel and it was also superb and service excellent. The only thing I can make a small remark at was the breakfast as the area is rather small and it was a bit of a chaos since everyone came at the same time. The choice of food at the breakfast was, however, very good.

I love this hotell, we always stay here when going home to visit my family. The rooms have been on the smaller side, but very nice and clean. Always kind and helpful personnel. The gym is great for both cardio and lifting some weights. Lovely breakfast. I keep booking this hotel whenever I go to Sundsvall.

Really nice "non corporate" individual hotel with a quirky layout. Very comfortable, well appointed, well cared for place in a good location, an easy stroll into the centre and very handy for restaurants etc. I have no problem recommending the Baltic and would happily stay again

Great value, terrific gym and clearly above average breakfast. The room was also nice and the older style of the building blended nicely with the modern amenities, however the completely black hallways were a bit strange. The only real downside was the bathroom where the shower door didn't help much to keep the water from going all over the floor and the drainage of the basin was super slow. Also the soap hadn't been refilled for some time. However all in all it was a really nice stay and i would gladly recommend it to others.

Excellect breakfast

Central location and overall pleasant. Room was comfortable but lacks any charm. Sterile environment with no decorative touch not even one painting hanging on the wall. The full garbage in the bathroom from previous guest is totally unacceptable in today's Corona time!

Great place to stay in Sundsvall. Clean and well equipped. Recommended.
