Had a lovely stay in Trollhattan at the Kung Oscar. Staff was excellent and the property was lovely. Close to a beautiful town square with many food, drink, and shopping options, the hotel is a quiet oasis while travelling.
Dinner and breakfast were both included and both were excellent.

I’m very satisfied with the hotel overall. Great location, great staff, good food and clean room/bathroom. There is some room for improvement what concerns serving meals. Since there are few tables, booking a slot for breakfast and dinner would be the best option. There was one dinner I found food but no table to sit and another dinner I found a table to sit, but no food left on the buffet (it took around 30 min to get food).

A truly dreadful quality of comfort. The only thing that worked well was the lift. My room was opposite a noisy road with seemingly no noise insulation. Very hot and smelly room that needs the single window open to keep below 22 Celsius. The room was far smaller than shown on the pictures. The bed itself was smaller than advertised, the mattress support springs had completely worn away. Among the worst hotels I have visited in many years, even though it was expensive and looked good on the official pictures.

A hotel only has one chance to give a first impression. The receptionist Amanda was incredibly rude and when I pointed out to her that I thought she had a peculiar way of showing hospitality, she became even worse. Some people should not work in the service industry. I will not stay at this hotel again. There are others in Trollhättan.

I had four days here on a work visit. The hotel was quite centrally placed, the breakfasts excellent and the (free) evening meals adequate. The staff were friendly and thoughtful, the room spacious and well thought out. It was efficient without being soulless. The only difficult points were that the dining room was sometimes extremely noisy, and the car parking is limited and accessed through a narrow passageway, but these are architectural problems and trivial compared to the good points.
