The room was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the free breakfast at the cafe across the street that’s associated with the hotel. There’s plenty of really nice shops and restaurants all around the hotel. Excellent place for walks in town or down by the lake. Absolutely loved my stay.

Surprisingly, this turned out to be one of my best hotel experiences in Sweden. Everything felt just right — from the overall atmosphere to the small details. The place has a pleasant vibe, the staff are attentive without overdoing it, and the room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was really good, with fresh options and a calm setting to start the day. The whole stay felt effortless — smooth check-in, quiet nights, and a sense that everything is taken care of. It’s rare to find a hotel where everything simply works as it should, but this one definitely managed that. I’d be glad to come back.

We loved our stay at Hotel Emma. We arrived late and used the self-check in service, which was very smooth. We were not in Östersund very long, so it was wonderful to stay in a central location to get a feel for the town. Loved that they sold some local products in their lobby. Great breakfast.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Emma. It is a small hotel with large rooms, a nice breakfast area and a lounge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in looked like the bathroom had just been renovated. The hotel in conveniently located on the main shopping street so that we were able to walk to restaurants and activities. I highly recommend Hotel Emma.

The staff was generous with their time and were very accommodating. They always tried to be helpful. I was able to borrow one of the hotels bicycles and it was extremely smooth and comfortable to ride. I had a wonderful time riding around the city and suburbs.

The property was listed as having free parking facilities. This was not the case, the only parking provided by the hotel was 85SEK per day. While this is not a lot of money, I would have preferred to know about it prior to deciding to book the hotel. Otherwise the hotel was great and the staff lovely.

This was one of the most enjoyable hotels stays in memory. The hotel is in the city heart, within walking distance to/from the train station, close to grocery stores and many places of interest. Reception was quick, helpful and friendly. The room was spacious with nice linens and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was well stocked with quite a variety of offerings. A bonus is the availability of tea, coffee, fruit and snacks throughout the day. Wifi was strong and consistent. At our arrival, we were asked about departure times and when we relayed an early departure .. we were immediately offered a box breakfast for taking onto the train on our onward travel. No question, we would seek this accommodation, should the opportunity arise.

In our opinion, Hotel Emma is the best hotel in all Sweden ! We never ever had such a huge, various and tasty breakfast as in this 3* hotel. Even the decoration is tastefully funny ... Their nice and hearty welcome made us feel truly at home. We strongly recommend to stop at Hotel Emma. You will never regret your choice !
