Hotel Skansen Båstad

The hotel offers a charming atmosphere in the heart of Båstad. The interior is well-designed, with plenty of seating areas and fireplaces, creating a relaxing environment. The rooftop pool and bar area are particularly appealing and provide a great spot to unwind. One unique aspect is the constant flow of guests in robes, moving between the spa and the outdoor baths, which adds to the relaxed vibe. The room itself had some quirks. The sink is located outside the bathroom, which can be inconvenient, especially at night. The rooms are small but quiet, with open wardrobes and minimal storage. The bed felt narrow and short, though we’re accustomed to a king-size at home, so this may be personal preference. Both the pillows and the bathroom towels were surprisingly small, which detracted slightly from the experience. Breakfast is served in a spacious restaurant with beautiful views. While the spread isn’t the largest we’ve encountered, it covers all the essentials and maintains a good quality. Overall, despite a few imperfections, the hotel delivers a high standard, particularly for a Swedish property, and remains one of the better options available.

Stayed in Tennispaviljongen and it was a great room. But to much sound from other rooms and during the night it was very loud from room one floor up!

Relaxing, good atmosphere & great location.

Not the best experience

Romantic spa weekend in Sweden - arrived by train from Copenhagen. Spa area very enjoyable but need it to be part of your booking package or else you pay extra. As weather was not great on 1st day - spa and massage were absolute delight. Also, 4pm tea abd coffee and lovely cakes and snacks included for spa package guests. Restaurants right next to hotel offer alternative price and quality of meals. Not much in the town area but a really enjoyable walk via hotel Riviera and back along the beach. Great memories.

Great hotel, but expensive restaurant and the breakfast was not first class.

Hotel is flawless, except for the rude housekeeper and the small rooms. Great service and very very friendly!

Vi fick ingen info alls vid ankomst. Varken om var och när frukost serveras, parkering eller vart rummet låg.

Vi bodde i villa. Tyvärr ej meddelat i förväg ang husdjursallergi. Stora besvär o fick ta extra mediciner för att klara natten. Skulle varit bra om dessa rum ej har heltäckningsmatta, pallar, sänggavlar, prydnadskuddar i plysch o tyg. Ytor som är lättare att städa o hålla fräscha. Dammiga handtag på handikapptoaletter, kalkfläckar på metall i duschen, dammiga (vin-) glas drar ner betyget. Förslag att ha en pall i badrummet som kan användas vid toalettbesök. Kunde ej sitta med hela foten i golvet vilket medförde icke optimal position. Fö mycket trevligt, väldigt professionell personal o god frukost.

You can buy plastic flip-flops at SEK65 a pair. The hotel does not provide flip-flops. No kettle, tea, coffee in the room. Breakfast weekdays is limited compared to on holidays.

Mycket fint hotell med trevlig personal. Hög service och standard. Bonus med fina omgivningar för promenader

Ett av relativt många besök på detta hotell. Alltid trevligt bemötande, alltid mycket bra mat, bra spaavdelning och bra konferensmöjligheter. Parkering kan vara lite bökigt, så ej denna gång.

Dåligt rum

Mycket bra hotell och vi återkommer ofta hit. Stor besvikelse att upptäcka att om man inte bokat spa-paket var det utcheckning redan 10.00. Detta på en lördag och 30 minuter innan frukosten stänger! Helt galet för så pass mycket pengar.
