Fantastic value. Comfortable. Spacious. Upscale. Nice amenities. Unbeatable location on Embassy Row, in a quiet neighborhood right next to the tram and a fine restaurant. Could use a more fully stocked kitchen for those who like to cook, but besides that, it was great.
Communication and hospitality was also of the highest order. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!

A beautiful property in a beautiful area with a kind and responsive host. Nestled in the embassy area of Bern within walking distance of old town and just off a tram line that connects to anywhere. The apartment is well equipped and very clean and comfortable.

My taxi dropped me at this hotel and and I went to the front door. It was locked. There were buttons to ring someone but they all had names on them like an apartment building. I rang them anyway. No one responded. I went to another door; it was locked. I knocked; no one responded. I walked all around the building; nothing was open. Finally, I called the number for the reservation. No one answered! I was outside in the freezing cold, with 2 big suitcases, thinking I had been scammed. I had to walk to the nearest tram to go back to the train station. I booked the nearest hotel I could find. I emailed the contact on Expedia and explained what had happened. She said I could come the next day. I had already checked in at another hotel. Plus, what if she wasn’t there again! She was not at all sympathetic or understanding and charged me a “no show” fee! Unbelievable! She had the nerve to say “there is such a thing as leaving a message.” Really? While I am out in the freezing cold with all of my luggage? I am supposed to wait for her to call me back? She also told me that there are no scams in Switzerland. Well, I think this is the first one!

If in Bern the place to stay. Maxine is so helpful and friendly, we arrived early it was no problem let us park our car and gave us information maps and free bus tickets to explore Bern before checking in.
The apartment was very clean with lots of extras, like chocolate, fruit, flowers, milk, and lots more international power adapter was also supplied

Quaint basement apartment which was beautifully cool on a hot summer day. Lots of extra touches like flowers and chocolates. Also had use of washer and dryer.
Downside: it should be clearly stated on expedia that payment is required in cash.

From the moment you arrive it's clear that you're in a special place. Maxine and Eddie are awesome, and make you feel at home right away. Plenty of space, kitchen, laundry, 15 minute walk to anywhere. If we are ever in Bern again we will definitely be staying here again.

We were there for only one night, however, our apartment had four rooms and a total of six beds. Leaving room kitchen dinning room and a small terrazzo.
Amazingly clean place and very friendly people.
Close distance from the old city and easy access to public transportation.
A bid difficult to find the first time but after that it was easy.
Because there is a kitchen you can buy groceries at a supermarket located at three blocks and have breakfast and/or dinner there too.

Located in the Embassy area of Bern, we rented a larger tha usual 1 bedrooom apartment in the basement level. Lots of light and everything spotless. Secured gated parking. The owner gave us tips of places to see and eat around the city. As it is very close, we never used the tram during our stay (but it's just around the corner if you need it).
Room was comfortable but we could hear some noises from the floor above us (steps, tv; nothing major). Wifi signal was rather weak and stopped quite a few times. This could be improved for future guests.
If you buy food (supermarket around 10 min by foot) you can use the kitchen area to prepare it. A washing machine is available also.
Overall a comfortable stay close to Bern.

great apartment, kind of a two room with the living room, kitchen and bathroom at the main level and the bedroom up a level through a spiral staircase.
The location is superb, the owners are very nice, they live in the same building, so they showed us in and also put some useful supplies including two bottles of water, juices, jams, crackers and more, you might call it a breakfast supply.
The room also had a coffee making machines with several free pods.
The place includes free parking and on top of that the owners gave us free tickets for all day transportation in town, a $20 value.
Note that they only accepted cash, so we paid them later that evening after getting to an ATM.

Maxine and Ed went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. The apartments have secure entrances and are all part of their lovely property. They are super clean and provide many amenities including a small equipped kitchen, coffee, water and snacks, free washer dryer and tram passes to downtown Bern. The apartment is only two blocks from a grocery store and two tram stops to downtown. They are located in an upscale neighborhood of mansions on Embassy Row. Ed helped translate papers in old German which allowed us to locate the town where great grandparents lived 105 years ago. Upon our return from the small country town they shared in our joy as we celebrated a magical day.
I highly recommend these apRtments.
