My late flight was cancelled and I made a last minute booking. Due to the nature of my last minute booking I arrived late and left before the reception team arrived in the morning. The staff member at check in booked me a taxi for the morning. The room was basic but very comfortable.

Great location with helpful staff, only downside was that parking is not included. It's extra cost.

Arrived late for check in but the receptionist was still there and welcomed me warmly. Room was fine but basic and very warm-only a desk fan to help with this. Good choice for breakfast and polite service day 1, not so much day 2 (different staff). The reception staff were very helpful directing me towards the relevant public transport

Staff was overall great (one guy wasn’t, but the rest were super friendly and helpful). Appreciate the eco-friendliness, the rooms were tidied up daily. Beds were ok, the pillows were kind of terrible but we requested additional ones and they got them right away for us. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but there are two grocery stores across the street. Good location for public transportation. Biggest downside was how hot the room was. There was a fan in the room and the window opened but it was hot. Overall a decent hotel, pretty bare bones with no amenities like a gym or pool.

Staff excellent and welcoming but facilities were lacking in relation to cost eg no a/c, bed too basic with no headboard, furnishings basic, room too dark and shower had only curtain which meant water not contained. Not impressed

Short stay in Basel. Was visiting Roche and this hotel was nearby. Great location by the Rhine. Free coffee etc throughout thecday was a bonus. And the cakes. Everyone really friendly.

The room was a bit minimalist but perfectly adequate for my needs & the price. The room was spotless & an extra pillow & lighter blanket was provided upon request as it was quite hot. There's no air-con but the shutters keep the worst of the sun off the room & the window opens. 2 bottles of water (plain & sparkling) were provided every day plus the biscotti/macaroni every evening. I was on the top floor so there was no noise from above. The staff were excellent - especially reception staff who were very helpful. They gave great instruction on transport, nearby walks & called a great taxi service on check out. There is an extra charge for local taxes - I stayed 3 nights so it was CF12 & they accept cash or card. They also offer a free Basel card which allows free public transport & discounts for sightseeing tours and some attractions - say yes! I paid extra for breakfast which was excellent - breads, cheeses, granola, fruits & eggs/pancakes etc on request but all included. A great touch was the range of snacks provided for free in the afternoon/evening - muffins, cake, fruit & unlimited tea/coffee/cold drinks. The Breite tram stop is literally outside the front door (service number 3) & it's about a 7 minute ride to the centre if Basel. 15 mins to walk if you don't have any mobility issues. There's also a great riverside walk just around the corner & on the other side of the river is Museum Tinguely. I'd wholly recommend DasHotelBreite for a short stay in Basel

The staff on the front desk was absolutely friendly and helpful. Free public transport for the hotel guests in Basel was an additional bonus.

Great location, helpful stuff, nice connections through tram just across the street. River view is awesome!

I like the hotel overall and my room in particular but mostly I found the staff to be outstanding

Dasbereitehotel is a very special comcept. Handicapped staff provides an excellent, caring and exemplary service. The location is perfect and the hotel has a great, safe parking lot. Free drinks and cakes and fruits 24/7. Ideal to return.

I understood you could check in only between 3pm and 5pm or you would have to wait until the next day. We did check in then, but I’m still wondering if that is true, because I have never encountered this policy in my many years of traveling in europe

A superb location, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. We couldn't have asked for more!
