Hotel Blumenstein

No reception; only self check-in. There was not even any soap for washing at the bathroom. The breakfast was very poor. I was expecting better service.

Easy to find and due to the self-checkin kiosk anytime accessible. Room was clean and amenities as to be expected.

Hotel Blumenstein, was a good ,clean, & affordable hotel, by the Bahnhoff, & A Migro Centrum, with many Shops.

Hotel Blumenstein is a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced (by Swiss standards) place if you need to stay in Frauenfeld. Be aware that the hotel runs on a very low-staff model: guests check themselves in, there is no desk staff, and contact is by phone. When I checked in, the self-checkin machine knew my reservation, but was broken and couldn't accept payments; when I called the attached help number, there was an immediate answer and I could give my credit card number by phone, so it worked out OK. The breakfast is modest but acceptable, and the daily cleaning staff is very friendly and supportive. When I requested an extra pillow from the cleaning person, there were two there the next morning. My one concern was security. With no desk staff, there is no way to use the hotel's safe, and the individual rooms do not have safes. Moreover, the two hallways of guest rooms are off a public stairway that is open during the day, and that serves several businesses. That means anyone could walk in off the street and be at the room doors in a moment, since the hall door with a keycard lock was not usually closed, at least not during the day. Not a major concern for me in a small, safe town, but still not ideal in terms of controlling access to the guest area. I was comfortable, the room was clean and everything worked, and the location is extremely central, right opposite the train station.

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good location across from train station. Easy to get to with luggage.

Waited a bit long for checking in because the reception was working in their restaurant, She kept us waiting for 10minuts.

Nice clean hotel and staff are helpful and friendly. It was so convenient for my extended train travels as the hotel is opposite the station. Resturant down stairs 'Rene's Steakhouse' serves great food, thier steaks come recommended and are an excellent cut.

+ Friendly staff and were able to speak English to me (I have very little German) + The room was comfortable as was the bed + It was very clean + The breakfast was amazing + Great transport links for the railway, bus, tram and connections for Zurich Airport + Good Wifi connection - Expensive for what it is but that time of year and Switzerland is expensive!

Noisy from station and bars , church bells keep waiking you up eventually you get to ignore them. You ha to keep the windows closed .

This is a clean and well located hotel. However as with most Swiss hotels not much in the line of comforts. It is basic and there is a lot of noise at night because of the location trains, church bells etc. so if you sleep with the window open it can be challenging. The bathroom can be quite cramped. It is reasonable value for the area.

A budget hotel which is very comfortable, good wifi, great for the station. Breakfast is a little bit limited, but other than that - great. I would definitely stay here again.

Zimmer sauber, check in einfach, alles ok.

Die Fenster sind sehr gut, schalldicht ... leider kann man nicht bei offenem Fenster schlafen, da der Bahnhof SBB, Wilerbahn, Busbahnhof und Besucher Steakhaus nicht gerade als ruhig bezeichnet werden kann. sonst ist es gut.
