Beautiful view from balcony. Hotel overall is was beautiful

Just a well designed beautiful, clean room with a lot of tension to detail. You can see that the management of this place pays attention to its guest. Great food, breakfast and dinner was superb with a little snack time between three and four pm! If you want a great spot to walk around or have majestic Alpine views and even hop on the ferry to Lucerne in just a few minutes

Staff and hotel perfect

My stay at Hotel Central Am See was amazing. The hotel is beautiful and the views from our room including our terrace were breathtaking. I would highly recommend staying here, for the view and the staff who were very friendly and welcoming. We were even able to use the swimming pool in October which was alot of fun. I already can’t wait to go back. Thank you Hotel Central for a wonderful visit.

Lake views amazing, not many food options around.

The view was a Fairy Tale. I’m from AZ so was to cold for me to go into the pool. The wait staff Nicholas and Matz made our stay very fun. Will plan another trip there someday.

The best

Such a beautiful hotel. Seems newly resonated. Great location. Walkable from the boat stop. Shocked they are a 3 star hotel. Would consider to be a 4 star easily. The pool was amazing with easy access to the lake. Would definitely make a trip back and stay again.

Amazing trip and newly renovated hotel. Our room looked out on the lake and it was gorgeous. Would recommend staying here if you have a car and are wanting to visit Lucerne. Glad we stayed here versus the bigger city.

Not only was the area beautiful. The hotel was perfect, the room with the balcony view was breathtaking. The staff was all professional and friendly. All 5 stars.

Hotel advertises "Self-parking costs CHF 8 per day with in/out privileges". This lead us (and other guests we spoke to) to believe the hotel had a car park. It doesn't. It has an arrangement in a public car park next door. Arrive back and find there are no spaces - tough. Front desk clerk suggested we use parking spaces in the road that were too narrow for a standard saloon car, then when I pointed out several spaces around their property that could be parked upon he threatened to have me towed. This was totally at odds with the previous night where another desk clerk had bent over backwards to be helpful. The next morning I found cars parked on their property under trees in unmarked bays "those are for staff only" the receptionist said, I would have to move my car from the short stay car park next door and park it in a multi-story garage 1 km by road and 400m up hill on foot as after 8am I would be towed. Not "parking with in/out privileges". Whilst I was there, at least two other guests complained about the parking and were told that it was down to hotels.com and not the front desk - yet between booking and arrival the hotel had updated the parking charge on that site and left in the wording that it had in/out privileges. A major harassment and the rudeness of the staff made this an unpleasant experience... Room OK but air con fitted but inoperative which given heat wasn't good. Room not however as photographed, bathroom half the size. Fawlty Towers experience.

Nice friendly

This was my first week ever in Europe and this hotel was my favorite. It started with the super nice, accommodating staff and continued with the beautiful view of the lake from my room. They were in the final parts of remodeling but my room was perfectly done with a great view of Mt Pilatus over the little pool. Dinner was a bit pricey but the breakfast buffet was certainly worth it. Highly recommended...oh, and take the ship to get there. Its a very short walk to the hotel 👍

A really lovely 3 star hotel but with 5 star views ! So enjoyed our stay here ! Very peaceful. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Good hotel with beautiful view , very quiet . Public parking beside hotel but not easy to get a place .

Hotel was nice, nothing super spectacular but the views were fantastic! Reminder - NO AC so with the windows open you tend to get some bugs. But all in all the area was great with awesome views!

The view was amazing

Older (I'm guessing) traditional hotel about a 45-minute boat ride from Lucerne (boat is a five minute walk). While hotel has an older charm, rooms are clean and modern, and the property is well maintained. Great property right on the water with direct lake access. Several restaurants nearby and easy access to Mt Rigi.
