What a hotel! Situated upon the beautiful cliffside of Ascona and with unparalleled vies to the lake and mountains this well groomed property was genuinely wonderful. We enjoyed the amenities their very good restaurant and we impressed by their caring staff. The property is very well maintained and spotless.

Lovely staff, very spacious rooms (the triple rooms have very spacious balconies). Breakfast was tasty - the eggs were fantastic. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again....

I booked this last minute because I thought it was a good deal. I was really surprised on arrival. This is a very nice, modern hotel. Our room had a private patio overlooking the lake. Everything was perfect and I can't say enough about Colinetta. One mistake I made was to not get breakfast through Orbitz. We decided we wanted breakfast after we stayed the night and I think we ended up paying a little more for it.

A wonderful short trip to Collinetta. Beautiful weather in a beautiful spot. The view is incredible. The room very new (and also still smelled very new). The garden was very inviting and the team tried the best to make us feel comfortable.
The only downside: On Hotels.com there is no mentioning that December - February the hotel is operated as Garni. This has the impact, that the restaurant is closed, and worst: The swimmingpool is closed. We learned about this the day before arrival - to short for any changes. However, the team find a way to compensate for this - which we very much appreciated.

The food was amazing! Definitely the right choice to stay half board and have the set menu each night. Gorgeous view of the Lake, lovely walk to the next village for lunch through beautiful paths, very relaxing place with Swimming pool. Rooms very romantic, with their own balcony.

Hotel Collinetta is a clean, comfortable, attractive hotel in a wonderful setting. It's perched on a hillside above Lake Maggiore with fabulous views from the front rooms, restaurant, pool, and grounds. It was not the most spacious or the most luxurious of the 8 hotels we stayed in during our recent month in Switzerland, but overall it was our favorite hotel of the trip. Our room was in a separate building below and to the left of the main building. This turned out to be a good thing, since we had a larger room (for our family of 4) and more privacy than the regular hotel rooms. We had a small private lawn with reclining chairs and a table with umbrella. We used the swimming pool a lot, and the deck outside the pool is a great place to soak up sun while admiring the vista. Take time to walk around the grounds - there are many wonderful plants and trees in a lush, verdant setting. Parking was adequate with snug spaces. Breakfast was the usual Swiss buffet, of good quality. The desk and restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we visit Ascona in the future, which we'd like to do.

From the warm to the our checking out, we were made to feel welcomed and comfortable. The hotel is set nicely on the hill with a short but steep walk to/from its' own beach. The access to from the car park is also steep. The pool and gym are well set up. The food was very nicely cooked and going half board is well worth considering. All in all a lovely stay.

The hotel was nice , we stayed in a mini suite set off from the main hotel, only problem no AC and is was warmer than expected weather. They did supply a fan , when we asked and that was good to circulate the night air. The View of Lake Maggiore was fabulous! Our stay in Ascona was Great!

Die Zimmer sind soweit ok, jedoch sehr ringhörig, speziell wenn Kinder den Gang rauf und runtertrampeln und Hunde bellen. Das Essen am Abend im Restaurant ist hervorragend.
