I had booked two twin rooms. However, when we were checking in we were informed that one room had two twins that were pushed together but could be separated. We did that ourselves as there was no one else available. The second room had only one bed that could not be separated into two. I don't know why two twin beds is so hard to understand.

A deeply disappointing experience—not only with the hotel, but also with Hotels.com. I was traveling across three countries in Europe with my parents, wife, and infant over two weeks, and had no issues with any accommodations—except this one. I had booked a Quadruple Room through the Hotels.com app, which showed availability at the time of booking. However, upon arrival at the hotel around 1 a.m., I was told there was no record of my reservation. Shortly after, I was informed that the room I had booked was not available. To make matters worse, the hotel had no staff on-site past 8 p.m., so all communication was through an intercom system—an extremely frustrating experience, especially at that hour with family and a baby in tow. Eventually, the hotel provided a room with one double bed and one single bed—forcing me to sleep on the floor so my family could rest more comfortably. I had also paid an additional fee of approximately $144 for a fourth guest, only to end up without a proper place to sleep. While the hotel initially assured me that a refund would be issued, they later refused. At this point, it's not even about the refund—it's about the complete failure in service. Paying extra to sleep on the floor is simply unacceptable. This situation also highlights a serious flaw in Hotels.com’s system. If the app displays availability for a room type that doesn’t exist, that is a critical issue that needs immediate attention. I strongly advise against booking this property.

Fabulous hotel and very helpful staff

The location of Hotel Engel is excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. We had a lot of help from a member of staff on arrival. However I was surprised at how unhelpful the member of staff on for breakfast was. A few people found the hot beverage system complicated and the staff member just watched people struggle while other guests were trying to help. I have never experienced anything quite like that before.

Nice hotel in a brilliant location. However would be nice if they were providing some bottled water in the rooms and safety box. Service excellent, rooms good.

A lovely little hotel, the staff are extremly helpful and imforamtive of the town and things to do. Clean and comfortable rooms, would reccomend.

Very good sized room, nice and spacious with own "lobby". Nice and friendly staff who spoke very clear German that I could understand (and switched into very good English when I couldn't understand the German).

The hotel room was nice but had a few things requiring improvement. No hook anywhere in the bathroom or a shelf to Place any kind of clothing. Very small pillows on the beds. No breakfast served before 8 am yet the card required to park on the street nearby expires at 8 am. Receptionist very friendly and professional, actually undeserving for this hotel who seems less concentrated of the comfort for the customer but more interested what suits them. I will again return to a hotel near Zofingen that offers private parking and the few amenities I am asking for

Konaklamam esnasinda kahvalti yapmak istedim. Yazili ve soft kopya olarak Biontech asi sertifikalarim olmasina ragmen, sistem scan edemedigi icin kahvalti yapamadim. Isvicre’ye girerken asi kontrolunde bir sorun yasamadim ama otel kahvaltisi icin yeterince korunakli bulunmadim. CoZum icin hic bir caba sarfedilmedi.

Budget Zimmer 👍 Jedoch das Bett schon eher klein (schmal)

Ein schönes gepflegtes Hotel: Einzelzimmer klein, aber warm und gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider kann man hier nur die Nächte sammeln, aber nicht einlösen mit dem Reward Programm.

Sehr freundliches Personal und auch sauberes Hotel. Was mir nicht gefiel war das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Für das selbe Geld war ich in München in einem hervoragenden 4 Sterne-Hotel mit Sauna und Pool... Das Frühstücksbuffet war qulitativ sehr gut, aber überschaubar.
