Hotel Kurhaus Bergün

Beautiful "belle epoque" style property, warm and friendly staff. Perfect for a family, solo get away. Quiet atmosphere. Loved it !

The food, staff and hotel were excellent. Set in a sleepy little Swiss village. Great views from every direction.

What a fascinating place to stay: the hotel had been “neglected” when so many other places were modernized in the second half of the 20th century. As a consequence, the fixtures and much of the furniture is art nouveau style or dates from that time, as the current owners modernized more recently with a light touch. For example, many of the windows have really old glass not so perfectly smooth as modern glass. I believe it is the most authentic hotel of that era. Super-nice views from rooms as well, but that is not so difficult to possess when in such a beautiful place as Bergün. OK, downsides: room is smallish if you decide to have a room with private shower and toilet. We would (will!) choose to use shared facilities next time, which my wife reports were quite nice, as there are plenty of them for the quite moderate number of guests; that way we get a better room size. Feather pillows and duvet were also difficult for me due to allergies, but I believe this could be modified if I had known before just heading to bed. Staff members were also pleasant, courteous and accessible.

Enjoyed one night at the lovely Kurhaus. The price was pretty high for a shared bath, but the hotel was lovely, location was magical, and the staff was greatm! The breakfast was off the charts with a huge selection from local bakery and dairy!

This was a great place to stay close to great hiking trails. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helped us plan our days with great recommendations. A free ticket to ride the chairlift was also included, which made it easy to get to the top of the mountain and hike. The breakfast at the hotel was also excellent.

Toller Aufenthalt

Wir haben - leider - nur eine Nacht in diesem grossartigen nostalgischen Hotel verbracht. Es war einfach wunderschön. Man fühlte sich einige Jahrzehnte zurück versetzt. Das Ganze jedoch mit aktuellen Annehmlichkeiten wie einem angenehmen Spa oder etwa WiFi. Der Service beim Abendessen wie auch beim Zmorge war sehr aufmerksam. Leider ging uns beim Znacht der Wein vergessen - dies trotz nochmaliger Erinnerung. Stattdessen wurde dies dann jedoch mit einem feinen Digestiv "aufs Haus" wett gemacht. Fehler können passieren und so lange sie so klein sind und es dann eine Wiedergutmachung gibt, können wir diese gut verzeihen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Das war jedoch kein Problem. Es gibt trotzdem ein Lavabo mit fliessend Wasser im Zimmer. So fehlt es einem also an (fast) nichts. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen und können dieses Haus wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Soweit alles ok. Leider war das Restaurant, als wir um 17:30 anfragten, voll belegt .... Ich erwarte von einem so hoch gelobtem Haus, dass man beim check-in gefragt wird, ob man am Abend im Restaurant essen möchte.

Absolutely very nice and historic house. We had to get used to the retro look, and then we loved it. Perfect surroundings. And then the food! Absolutely perfect breakfast, including everything. And the evening dinner was a big gourmet experience, made with love. Great chefs and staf

Kurbad und Frühstück wunderbar

Wunderschöne Lage des historischen Hotels mit viel Umschwung für eine erholsame, ruhige Ferienzeit. Der Preis für Zimmer mit Etagendusche und Gemeinschafts-WC ist jedoch am oberen Limit. Auch die Einrichtungen im Zimmer und im Haus, obschon historisch und nostalgisch, entsprechen nicht den heutigen Ansprüchen. Essen und Service sind top von früh bis spät!

Wunderschönes Kurhotel mit traumhaftem Ausblick auf die Bündner Berge.

Ein Hotel in der Tradition der Kurhäuser Anfangs letztes Jahrhundert. Charme und Liebe zum Details. Kein modernes Wellness, was man aber auch nicht erwarten darf. Trotzdem erholsame Zeit verbracht in der großzügigen Lobby und im grossen Garten mit viel Platz um sich zurückzuziehen. Überhaupt ist Bergün eine tolle Location, Bergkulisse und einem authentischem, funktionierenden Bergdorf.

Historisches Hotel. Altes liebevoll bewahrt. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wegen dem alten Gemäuer muss man respektieren, dass das WC im Gang ist.
