Youth Hostel Zurich

I remember when I booked the price I chose was a bed in a 4bedroom but I was assigned to a bed in a 6bedroom. Not sure what is going on maybe something wrong with Expedia.

Room was spotless. Quiet location which I like, noise from other rooms at night was minimal. Breakfast was great and hours covenient. Also liked the bar for an evening beer! Staff was extremely corteoys and helpful.

Al ser un hospedaje en Zurich y tipo hostal, es un precio razonable a lo excesivamente cara qué es la ciudad. Las habitaciones para 4 personas son muy pequeñas, quizá alguna más amplia seria ideal. Cumple con su relación al costo, no me desagrado. Buen menú de desayuno, excelente atención del personal, incluso la opción de comidas que ofrecen también es buena. Quiza lo malo sería la ubicación. Esta un poco alejado de los puntos de interés. Nada que caminando, transporte público y uber no solucione pero tomar en cuenta un extra de dinero porque no será nada barato.

A lovely stay for one night! Lots of families & big communal areas with a nice patio & bar. It was a little hot & there were no privacy curtains. Communal bathroom/shower was clean & it was nice to have a sink in the room for a quick clean up. It was also nice to use your card as your key for a locker. A bit of a walk up hill from the train/bus station, but still very accessible.

Stayed only one night but the private room was great with a relatively nice bed and pillow. Easy internet access and a Swiss breakfast. Likes the open seating area.

Amazing stay, lots to do, very friendly staff. Specifically Luca. Was such an awesome guy and so helpful with any thing, suggestions, drinks, pronouncing words.

Nicest staff of any hostel I've stayed in

I had a great time there. Wish breakfast had fruits though. Staff super friendly and helpful.

Very convenient location next to a bus stop. Bathrooms were not very clean, but serviceable. Only two toilets for our floor which created a bit of an issue at times. No towels were provided. Excellent buffet breakfast. Superb common areas for lounging and dining.

This is probably one if not THE best hostel I've stayed in so far during my Europe trip. Breakfast is amazing, room is spacious, bathrooms are clean (in fact the cleaning lemon-y soap they use can be overpowering to smell but it dissipates after a while). Staff is welcoming and helpful. A bit far from city center so you need to walk far or take the tram but it's very close to grocery stores and supermarkets. It's amazing. Love this hostel!

if you cant stand noise whilst sleeping it aint for you, not the hotels fault but generally hostels

Clean and simple hostel within close proximity to train station. Free breakfast was nice.

Excellent members and colleagues

I may not be the best person for this review as this is my 2nd Hostel stay in 9 years. Seeing the weather is cold,heating was insufficient, the floor were bare no carpeting or insulation on top of that(thiss might be due to rarity hostel booking ) there were no slipper. Shower was surprisingly good,again I am not sure if there multiple people living at this room they might having charging issues in terms of comforts rather than actual functionality. Breakfast was surprisingly excellent for Hostel but then when it comes to amenities the hot water takes forever to boil,toasteris at the end of buffet after you have already picked up toast and jammed as there were no extra utensils to keep jam separate to use after toasting.If I have ordered a single room for single occupant I would rather have double bed rather than single bed else it becomes sleeps for two with comfort and convenience compromised. Staff were lovely,helpful and understanding but my understanding is management are being stingy because my understanding of Swiss is are they are very punctual and hate time wasting ,but due to equipment being very slow to use while being shared across multiple hostelier I would invest on the basic and faster amenities that enhances every customer indirect interaction with the hoshel. My visit didn't need that extra spending for hotel,but all things considered would definitely pay upto extra 30-50 CHF if good night sleep if your top priority else good value for money.

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff good price location is slightly out but can get regular trams every 10 mins to city centre within 20 mins reach. Very quiet location.
