Adagio Hostel

The room was in a very good condition and it was in a really good location. I really loved how they gave you your own washing machine and offered free washing detergent too. Staff were also extremely friendly and nice. A downside would be the fact that there is no soap available so be sure to bring your own when staying at this hotel. Also I was in Room 212 and there was a non-stop washing machine sound from outside that operated 24/7 that made it really hard to sleep.

I stayed 5 nights during a cold spell (Low 50s-F at night). Location is great but a bit hard to find inside a small lane. Staff was friendly and prompt with service, especially if you connect with them on Line. Like most hotels in Taiwan there was no heater in the room, but they provided an extra comforter which helped. Amenities are good for the low price I paid; there's a mini-fridge but no access to microwave (again, not unusual). Love having an electric tea kettle for instant hot water. Even though the room is not huge, I appreciated the thoughtful design of having shelves, drawers, wardrobe cabinet to store stuff. I didn't need it but it was nice to have private laundry access off the small balcony. The only thing that was hard to get used to was the entire bathroom being a "wet room" where there's no separation of the shower area from the rest.

Walkable distance from Taichung Train Station. Safe and quiet during night time, so you could have a good rest. Sufficient amenities provided. There are rooms that come with washing machine, so you could do your laundry.

it's new and very clean, staff are very friendly

As a digital nomad who has to have a good workspace, this is an ideal spot with a wonderful workspace. The wifi is a bit patchy at times, but still enough to complete most tasks. Also, you are right near a 7/11 for snacks and the room has a fridge as well--uber convenient. The only downside is the location is apparently next to a basement club and it can get very noisy in the middle of the night--1-2 AM across the street. Also, the walls are quite then but all guests were very quiet overall during my two-night, three day stay. They also have a washer in the room as well, located on the balcony, which was super convenient as well.

Room was not especially clean; the room itself was small for the cost and the location was just okay. The shower is open to the bathroom so be prepared to walk around in water in the bathroom after you take a shower. Furniture was nice, and the inclusion of a refrigerator was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Quiet and clean. Simple with good view. Every thing were completely.

Location hard to fine and surrounding nothing to eat

The room is spacious and clean. The receptionist is very friendly. The air conditioner can also be a heater is definitely a plus point for this trip.

All the furniture in their rooms are brand new! The bed is extremely comfortable as well as the pillow. The room is very clean and warm in winter! I love this place so much! I would definitely recommend my friend to stay here when they travel in Taichung!

Pros: clean, free water refilling, decent internet. clean bathrooms Cons: The MOST uncomfortable mattress we have ever slept on in Taiwan.(new but really cheap quality). The noise from traffic combined with the mattress meant sleeping was a nightmare. No one answers the phone or is available to help you find the place...and this is important because: 1) The address supplied by hotels com is wrong 2) If you Google the name, nothing comes up 3) Even though other reviewers have said how problematic it was finding it, they STILL have chosen not to correct the wrong address, put up any inffo on Google maps or even put a sign on the generic building so you know that it is a hotel. 4) Almost all your communication needs to be done via Google translate. The staff try, but unfortunately communicating in English is challenging. 5) Did we mention how bad the bed springs digging into you were? Perhaps if you are only a single person the mattress might be okay. The staff kept apologising and saying they want to do this, but management won't let them...but that one day they will get a sign put up and they will update the information.

Very clean and tidy. No hassle at all. Great location!

The address and the map indication was wrong. We spent 2 hours on road just to locate the hotel. There is not alternate name or local contact number for us to reach the hotel as well. It’s extremely frustrating and ruin the whole mood. Eventually we googled and managed to tumble upon the Chinese website and locate the actual address. Lucky the place was really clean, neat and new. The staff even took a step further to contact me, but it was too late, I’ve already made my way there. Apparently they knew on the condition and highlight the wrong address to hotels.com. I hope you guys are looking into the matter as it is affecting the whole experience of the stay.
