Very good for its low price. It is a simple hotel with complementary coffee and snacks in the lobby. Also, it is reasonably centrally located, a nice plus. As with many places in Hualien, a taxi is necessary at times, but we had no difficulty using Line to call one from the hotel.

Quite clean and very easy access to everywhere ….a coin laundry just cross the road~easy check in and nice staff. Not every room but my room’s window probably not very soundproof, I could hear the streets and raining dropping from surrounding. If you are a sound sleeper then you are good, or you can ask them to give you a backstreets room!

Love the amenities and how the hotel had many food stalls nearby. It definitely was not very near to the hualien station, but there’s a bus that takes you near the hotel and its a 1-2 min walk from the bus stop. We could take a 10-15 min walk to the known night market there. We liked how it was clean and comfortable!

The smell from the room is horrendous. Changed 3 rooms (different floors) but they are all smelly. Excuses given from the courteous staff was that we've booked rooms without window. They suggested to switch on the air-conditioned for some time hoping the smell will go away. But no! The smell was not due to the stuffy room, it was actually from the toilet. In fact, the smell didn't go away even when we check-out.

Great place to stay. Close to pier (for ferry ride across the lake); there is a bike shop beside for morning cycling and a great restaurent 5 min walk; outside, there is also a car park.

Rooms generally clean, staff generally nice, breakfast was hearty and good. Beds were never made and sheets were not changed. We had to ask before empty soap was replaced. The window in our room was very small, although other rooms appeared to have more natural light. Beware of booking a car with a driver at the front desk as you have to pay upfront and the route they are willing to take you on is very restricted (they ask for additional charges if you want to go on your own route). Also try and exchange your money in the airport in Taipei where there are posted rates.
