Galaxia Business Hotel

Not up to my expectation. Picture may looked nice, but the facilities looks old, outdated n bedsheets not clean. More like hourly hotel for people to have private time. Drunk foreigners from Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia n Philippine. Environment noisy especially during weekends with those Ktv or disco sound bass vibration during night time when u sleep. Will not choose this hotel again.

It’s near to train station, however, there’s no sign of the hotel, so took awhile to search for it! But overall it’s was a good stay as the hotel room is nice and big, breakfast was not bad too.

Spacious and comfortable room. Nice location where closes to rail station. Lived the room next to the entrance but quite quiet, so the sound isolation of the room is quite good. However, the check-in time is quite late (6pm). Quite tired to await check-in after an early flight.

Nice hotel with value for money. Down sides - Located in a building where lots of foreign workers agencies. Overall stay is good

Galaxia looks a lot better in picture. We were very excited to check in to this futuristic looking hotel despite some very interesting (and bad) reviews online. The check-in process itself and the staff are all very friendly; but everything else feels tired. It is located in a good location, which is close to the train station; but as with all cities, area close to the main station is usually sketchy, and this is no exception. It is located on the 9th floor of a building complex that houses the local ASEAN association, numerous karaoke bars, etc. So there are a lot of migrant workers who hang outside at night. I was with my boyfriend so I never felt unsafe, but I could see how if I were a lone female traveller I might be concerned. It being on top of karaoke lounges means that we fell asleep each night to the pulsing beat of strong bass used in songs. It didn't bother us too much as we are both heavy sleepers but if you are a light sleeper, avoid this hotel as you will not be able to get good rest. The breasfast spread itself is also a bit tired looking but works well to fuel you for the day.

Hotel was alright but the location don't seem to be safe for fenale travellers. Other than that, I think the counter staffs were nice and approachable!

The building was old and complicated due to there is many entrance and 3 difference hotel in the building. The signage of hotel was allocated at lift instead of outside the building. Overall the location is near to Taichung train station and is convenience to people who want to catch the train the next day.

The location was rather accessible. Nothing much to expect for the price paid.

The hotel is located in the shopping/business complex First Plaza, a gravitational center for South-East Asian communities. The location is super convenient -- in the heart of the old city center where the city's biggest transport hub (TRA station, city buses, intercity buses, Taiwan Tourist shuttle buses [for going to Xitou, Sun Moon Lake, etc.] ...) is situated. The hotel has a trendy feel throughout, the room is spacious and comfortable, and even in the windowless rooms one feels nice. Just a little pity that the shower is not separated from the rest of the rather spacious bathroom. A simple buffet breakfast is offered.

The drainage smells so bad. I can't even sleep properly. Theres a lub and condom, Tv channel 50 and above are all R-rated, don't think it's good for family trip.

Room is cool, however the area where is located is complicated on weekends. Chinese style breakfast available in the morning

Very uncomfortable bed, the shower gets water everywhere in the bathroom because it isn't sealed off, and overall the hotel is not in a very safe neighborhood. I immediately checked out the next day. Finally, the hotel did not provide a refund for the remainder of my stay, so I am giving them an honest review for the hotel quality and service level.

Hotel staff was not straight to the point when we enquire about a location that we wanted to go. One of the staff even gave me wrong information on the direction of the bus to cingjing. We could have missed our trip to cingjing on the next day due to the wrong info given!! However the room was spacious and comfy.

Place is ok, but the bed not enough soft

Hotel staff very helpful and pleasant, very keen to guide us to our recommend us to popular eateries nearby our hotel. But the room that we stayed in have very bad smoking smell. I hope that hotel can do something about it. More like a motel than hotel. Breakfast not very appealing, pretty basic not much choices.

3 minutes close to Taichung Railway station and buses to go to Taipei, Taichung HSR, and Sun Moon Lake. Good hotel for the value. Taiwanese breakfast with vegetables and other items (no fruit, no English breakfast tea). Free washing machine. No dryer. Staff pleasant. But most speak very little English or none.

A beautifully decorated and comfortable modern hotel only 10 minutes or less from the train station. Quiet rooms and excellent free breakfast with lots of space for luggage. The front of house staff don’t speak very good English but you can get by.
