This hotel is located in 3 minute walking distance from the bus and train stations. For those who tour Taroko and east coast with public transportation, it is very convenient. Free breakfast is fair, and the staff is reasonably courteous. Completed our Hualien tour in a 4 night stay. Nice!

The hotel was introduced by my Taiwanese Friend.. never expected anything just thinking it’s a normal fine hotel.. never ever realised that the receptionist is looking unhappy n rude while checking me in.The hotel is running down n room with a still smell even for the past few days I diffused essential oils. After checking out of the hotel.. my girl Friend was helping me to load my luggage with difficulty as my handsaws hurt n bandaged.Yet I saw one male n one female hotel staffs seeing off the clients off to the coach n saw us .. don’t even stop or offer to help us.Never ever stay in this hotel again.

Hotel front desk staff are great, friendly, competent and helpful. However, in spite of this, unfortunately I would find another hotel next time in Hualien. The WiFi is set up oddly, and each time I left the room, I needed to register and sign in on my devices, does not auto sign, slow and laborious. No instructions were given on check in so I had to ask front desk for help. The ventilation system may need cleaning, woke up each morning with headache and stuffy nose (I travel often to Taiwan, do not have allergies), breakfast was expensive compared to local prices and tasteless, soybean milk (my favorite) was loaded with sugar. ‘Free’ coffee machine in lobby was not working. Asked for help from nice housekeeping staff, nothing happened, Asked for plain soybean milk but never came (I was only guest on Sunday morning). Hualien area is beautiful (Taroko National Park), great local people, has many other options to stay as tourism has grown there (parks, hiking, etc).

The hotels Air Conditioning was having trouble cooling the room. I requested to change rooms after 7 hours at full blast, but was provided a fan as it’s a central AC system so it wouldn’t have made a difference. It’s summer and very warm. Sleeping was a little uncomfortable, even with the fan. Disappointing.
