The location is not far from the train station so that was great. The hotel itself is ok. I’ve noticed most hotels in Taiwan never seem to clean the windows so it looks dirty. Glass elevator looks dirty because the windows are so dirty. Same with the windows in the breakfast room which is too bad as there is a nice view. The beds were reasonable and the bathroom was a bit tired (toilet seat was very loose). Water pressure and temperature was excellent. The breakfast was just ok with only white bread, no butter and no fruit. Lots of vegetables though. Coffee was just ok with no milk(only soy milk).

It is a new and modern building but unfinished and somewhat neglected. 1. Noisy air conditioner in room, too loud to sleep while it works. 2. Smell of sewage discharge next to western wall of the hotel. 3. Pack of upto six homeless dogs loitering outside main door. 4. Unappetizing breakfast of cold fried egg, rice porrage, three condiments and small instant coffee. 5. Swimming pool is without water and neglected. 6. I paid in cash at arrival and later realized I had a booking here already paid for by credit card. Manager would not refund me my cash and forced Expedia to cancel the booking and refund me. Location is good very close to train station.

Fairly modern hotel, with nice room decor. A bit mixed feelings as while the room looked nice, closer look showed some shoddy workmanship and that they just don't care about every detail. So if you're able to disregard some issues (markings on the walls, loose bathroom door handle, some wires in the staircase etc), this is a nice hotel within a few minutes walk from the train station and overall a good value for money.

Stayed 3 nights to visit Taroko N Park. This hotel caters to bus tour groups from China. Individual guests are not a priority. Restaurant staff will not take your order while they are serving tour groups. After the groups leave, there is food on the floor, dirty tables, nasty. Breakfast is best to be avoided even if you pay for it. We were allowed in basement after groups left. Cold food, left overs, dirty floor. I asked for extra pillow and had to pay for it. Garbage bins in front f hotel were overflowing with trash everyday we were there. First thug we saw when we got out of elevator was the bathrooms for tour groups who come to hotel just for their meals. Gross! We were assigned a handicapped room which our reservation did not mention so staff changed us to another floor. We checked other hotels in the area for similar price and found them much better . So we moved to another hotel. Do not stay here.

Overall very pleased with our stay! The staff upgraded us to a balcony room, which was lovely. This location of this hotel, and the affordable price, is what makes it great. Within 3 minute walk of train station, bike rental, scooter rental, and a few small shops and restaurants. If you are planning to visit Taroko and want to stay in a quiet environment rather than a city, this is the place. Room was clean and cool. The beds were very comfortable! Plus, if you need public transportation for visiting Taroko, you are right next to bus stop for Taroko Bus 302. The staff also helped us book a taxi for our day trip. Only one minor complaint—the bathrooms would stay so much cleaner if you installed shower curtains or a shower door. Very easy fix.

We stayed at this hotel for one night, the front desk staff was very rude. We've booked 3 rooms and specific request all 3 room on same floor and close to each other, when we check-in to the hotel, front desk staff told us because they were over booked and will upgrade one room for us at different floor, we accepted that offer. One of our family member checked in to their room, they were stayed in between 2 rooms, one side of their room; people were yelling/talking to the side of their room through their balcony, the tour over 40 people. I complaint to the front desk and request change the room, at the same time these people were in the hotel restaurant having dinner, they were very loud talking to each other, hotel staff heard their loudness and refused to change their room. Next morning when we go for breakfast, the breakfast area was in the basement and the table was so dirty, the food and drink were cold, the food on the table wasn't cover, flies everywhere. We left without eating the breakfast. I'll never recommend this hotel to anyone.
