House keeping was amazing always friends and polite Spa was very good although they are renovating new spa im sure it will be amazing

Fantastic stay and lovely hotel. Still some building works ongoing but didn’t really impact our stay too much. Great entertainment in evening and food was good. Animation team day activities could be improved as never really tell you what’s on and where and most of the time the activities never even happen despite seeing loads of animation team around the hotel.

It is a great resort but there are several things which you should consider: 1. Dining - being a vegetarian, I found the options were limited. The chef tried hard to create some additional options but it did not change much. There are not many good restaurants nearby so you are out of options. 2. They are experimenting with pricing - food prices can change from day to day. Pizza was $7 one day and $15 next day 3. The food is expensive. 4. There are a lot of stairs which cant be avoided - no lifts. If any one has mobility issues, consider that you will have to go down or up at least 50 stairs from the entrance to your room 5. Service is good but inconsistent. You may see inconsistent housekeeping 6. They are not very transparent with pricing. Buffet dinner was supposed to be $35 but at checkout it was charged in local currency eq of $40. The bill was in local currency and converted back to USD which cost us even more. 7. Infinity pool closes at 6. Spa closes at 6 or earlier. The beach is gorgeous. The resort is clean and everyone is polite, helpful and nice. Spa is pricy but good.

I stayed in one of the beach villas with private pool. I had an amazing stay, it was a dream come true. The staff is so wonderful, friendly and thoughtful, and they go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy.

Fun resort with many different daily activities for families. Set on the fantastic east coast of Zanzibar, Diamonds Mapenzi gives you access to a beautiful beach with warm water and sports (additional charge). Food tasted good and staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Would stay here again

A fantastic hotel with the most exceptional, friendly staff I have ever met. So many to mention but here are a few notable names, Yuseph, Devoth, Victor, Erastus, Kulvert, King, Marwa, Vinoth. They could not do enough for you, and on the exceptional occasion they didn't (probably due to minor misunderstanding of English) they do their damdest to put it right. Buffet food was fantastic with so much available choice for breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Loved the array of fresh fruit, homemade jams and coffee was delicious. Cleaning of rooms and delivery of water each day was great too.Also particularly enjoyed the evening entertainment particularly the the acrobats.

The first and foremost thing to say about this property is its staff. I travel a lot, but this level of friendliness and courtesy is unsurpassed in my experience.

Great stay

The food, the service and the amenities were very good. It is a beautiful property and the staff are so helpful. There was some noise from the construction next door but we didn’t really notice it very much. The company running the diving and snorkeling excursions on the property were very organized and professional. There was entertainment 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. The Italian dinner night on the beach with dancing on Saturday night was a nice treat and the acrobats on the Friday night was great entertainment.

We stayed there for one week, August 2024, following a Safari. Lovely place, we had a beach front villa. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

We decided to visit Zanzibar to get our dream beach wedding. The location, organisation and helpful staff of Diamonds Mapenzi Beach made it better that we could ever imagine and beyond our wildest dreams.

We had an amazing time at Diamonds Resort!!! We stayed for week and enjoyed every aspect of the resort. The reception staff including Ally were accommodating to all of our needs and questions. The food was outstanding Marwa, Victor and Abbas made sure all the food and drinks were top notch! Our boys loved all the food options and drinks!! The pool was our family favorite place! Rasheed did an amazing job with making sure we had towels and chairs for our pool time. All the bar staff and wait staff were accommodating! We will be back for sure!!! Thank you to everyone who helped us and made us feel like family while we were there! See you next time!!

It’s far away from the loud streets of Stone Town and the crowded, popular beaches. Tucked away is this quaint resort that has a pool, seaside bungalows, and 2 restaurants. The buffet was great every day with many varied foods. The girl is on the east side and not too far a drive to mist day trip destinations. The staff were very friendly and tried their best to please. Once in a lifetime experiences and then a cozy, comfortable place to come back to…..nice!
